You’re sick enough to throw up everything in your stomach—which is good, because within a few hours of that you finally start to feel normal again.
Just what was in that fruit cake?
Maybe something in it to turn her into a bit of a fruit cake as well?
The joke was a delightful one to her in her current state, and the half-youma trilled her bell-like laughter as she mock-pirouetted across a rooftop not far from the very bakery whom she was sure was the cause of her thrill. Considering she'd consumed nothing else in her time before the trip--what else could she call it?--kicked in, it was easy enough to determine the source.
The electricity around her seemed to crackle more than usual in her third eye's vision, and the bulbs atop her head glowed with an extra level of brightness in her joy and enthusiasm, twirling around a pole that was decorated with Christmas lights. Her heels slid and glided over the slippery melting snow as she patted it down in her pacing and dancing, and Carnotite felt almost like a bit of a decoration herself.
In her amusement, she mused at the prospects of putting colored paper over her lovely crown, or if the bulbs could be switched for Christmas colored ones. How would senshi react to that she wondered? She could just see children being amused and delighted, and perhaps could use such a thing to entice the holiday cheery types in to get their energy a bit easier, perhaps even starseeds if she felt like being a little naughty instead of nice.
But for now, it was the simple white-yellow glow of her normal lights that glistened as she moved, debating if she wanted to be brightly lit down among the street and those that wandered about, or remain in the dark rooftops or alleyways. But everything was so vivid right now, so brilliant... it was perfect--! How could she best spend it..?

Nereid was feeling.....
WEIRD. Before her patrol, she had enjoyed some fruit cake with her IRL raid group friends and though she wasn't a big fruit cake person, she was interested in friends sudden trip to the bakery.
After that, she had gone out to patrol and everything seemed so BRIGHT. She twirled to the sound of carolers and lights and even though she found a nega agent, they seemed so AMAZING.
"WOW." She said loudly as she came upon the light bulb half youma girl .
"You are like....lit up and stuff!" yes...Lit up.

The high had her too lost to at first notice the sickeningly sweet pinpricks at the back of her skull that was the usual annoying alert to White Moon Senshi. So when the voice suddenly chimed up, she slid a bit more than she'd intended, having to hold to the pole with both hands and put her weight further back from it to keep herself from toppling over. The result was almost falling off her feet and off the roof, if it weren't for her hold on the pole.
The blue and white senshi would have been interesting enough to her fashion tastes without the additional effects of the fruit cake, but under that trip, the waterfall patterns seemed to move as if animated paintings, and she could only give a delighted laugh at her wonderful appearance--and even the amazement at the most obvious fact about Carnotite.
"I am. Match the decorations, don't you think?" She pulled herself up, leaning more against the pole now as she hummed, eyeing the senshi. Looked a bit chilly for waterfalls. "But don't you look just darling. Love the detailing. So... free fall," she giggled. "Hope you don't free up though, sweetheart."

Nereid was all sorts of color high right now. Christmas just seemed so vibrant and sickeningly sweet. The music itself was so loud and it made her head ring in such a way.
"Actually, you look like a star topper!" Nereid smiled at the other girl. "Aw thanks...." Nereid brought her sleeve up to look at it and then widened, "Wow, the sleeves, they look like they are actually waterfalls."
Did electricity and waterfalls go well together? She didn't know?
"Um...you're very pretty but...." Nereid kept playing with her sleeves but her gaze was definitely on the half youma. "You don't have the aura of a nega agent.....Are...are you something else?"

Carnotite continued to grin, preening under the declaration she was more befitting the crown jewel of a Christmas tree. "Oh you are such a sweetheart, thank you." Releasing her hold on the pole that held aloft lights, she took a few easy steps towards the senshi, her boots crunching in the snow.
"They do! It's delightful, really. Is that what your... power is, then, sweetheart? Waterfalls~?" It was the obvious choice after all, and she still was confused to how senshi powers... worked.
But the question pulled her from her thoughts, and she gave a brilliant laugh and smile. "Oh darling, I am an agent of the Negaverse. I'm just bit more special than your run of the mill agent." This was, of course, a bit of an exaggeration, but not in her mind. "I was given a wonderful gift, you see. A youma merged with me, chose me. And now..." She gave a slight shrug, lifting her golden forearms and hands, letting the air above her fingers crackle with electricity and her lights shine brighter. "I possess wonderful new gifts in turn."
Carnotite gave a small sniff though, as she lowered her arms, a corner of her mouth wrinkling slightly as if a bad odor hit her. "The term for those with such gifts as myself is half-youma, though really I find it quite lacking. It suggests we are lesser than what we really are."

"I try to be when I can!" Was it her or was the lights starting to get too...bright? Almost blindingly so. Even focusing on Carn was hard and she was having a hard time trying to understand what the agent was saying.
"H...Half youma?" Nereid had never seen a youma that was big enough for a human shape, so the idea of ones walking around that just merged with agents made her a bit terrified.
It was like whatever high she had amplified the sudden fear and negativity associated with merging with a monster.
"But....you're human...." She looked at Carnotite, putting her hand up to her forehead. "don.....Doesn't this effect your human life?" God she was starting to feel like. It was starting to turn into a really bad trip, her stomach aching.
What was happening?

For the time being, Carnotite's high was holding strong, though if she'd any idea how it would come toppling down, she'd be high-tailing it back to Negaspace to hide away in her quarters.
Till then, her head tilted, brow furrowing slightly above her two human-ish eyes as she took in the slowly changing state of the senshi. Her stuttered responses were not the same brilliance Carnotite had first encountered. Surely she wasn't frightened by this magnificent gift she was being informed about?
"It does a bit, sweetheart, but it was a sacrifice I was very happy to make. I am still able to work and such as I wish. But dear, are you alright?"
Tenderness was not something Carnotite excelled at, or came to with ease. But the prospect of sweetening up someone to lure them in was not new to her. So she took another careful step, trying to sooth the senshi. "Can you tell me your name, sweetheart? I am Carnotite."

Her high had come crashingly down super fast it felt like, even though she had eaten the cake hours ago. Why her stomach was reacting so violently she didn't know. The prickling of chaos was finally seeping through her high as well and for some reason everything just was making her nauseated.
"Don't...." She held up a hand as her body bent over and she felt something....something not right. "Don't worry about me." Everything was spinning and she took a step back. Then another, until she was a good distance away from the other girl.
As quickly as she could, the girl jumped over the area and away from the bright music and lights and the Half youma who shined as bright as a star and into a dark part of the alley. She powered down, so the half youma couldn't find her and put her hand on the alley wall. Her stomach curling before emptying all of its contents out.
It was disgusting and embarrassing and she just wanted to go home now. Her stomach heaved one more time before she called a lyft and had them take her back to her house.
She spent one hell of a night cling to her toilet and imagining light bulb women dancing in her head.

No name, no nothing. Carnotite was left trying to call the girl back, confused about what had just happened. She seemed... ill? Ew. Her nose wrinkled as she hoped she didn't catch anything from being around the senshi.
Which, but a few minutes later, she would certainly think that might be the case, as the wonderful lights and sounds crashed down around her, and she struggled to return to Negaspace where her abode was located.
It would take a while before her cursing became about the fruit cake, rather than the senshi, but when such an understanding came, she gave a dim silent apology towards the girl. The holidays could be such a b***h sometimes...
But perhaps she might encounter the cheerful water sprite again, under more festive spirits.
