Lilly wanted to dance. Even if she was in her everyday outfit with her dress awkwardly stuffed in to it, she still wanted to dance as though she was a princess.
Dodging the adults, seniors, and juniors, her eyes swept the room, hiding her stocking full of stuff under a table and tablecloth. She didn’t want anyone to mistaken it as lost and taking it away, after all. Grinning to herself, she locked her eyes on the nearest freshling and immediately dashed over, grabbing their arm. “Will you dance with me?” she asked in her usual whispery voice, eyes bright with excitement, rocking on her heels.
