Corruption in Politics since 1970's (In America)
Below is a list of proven and alleged crimes committed by politicians in the U.S. by congressmen and other types. While corruption is an actual legal term in U.S. policies, all crimes will be focused on instead, to show the general offending rates among high ranking politicians. Both Republicans and Democrats will be focused on, and alleged and proven crimes will be separated. This is to present a scope and knowledge on the case, without being overly specific in corruption charges or ignoring allegations themselves. Proven allegations are allegations proven in the court of law or where the individual openly confessed to it, such as George Takai.
The list is a collection of figures I could find, and not a complete list. Both total prove and unproven allegations will be provided, as well as those specifically for sexual assault. The reason sexual assault will be separated is the severity of the crime, raw numbers and recent emergence of scandals. While other forms of corruption will be mentioned, crimes specifically are the focus, rather simply betraying the constituents (such as Hillary rigging the primaries against Bernie Sanders, which the DNC apologized for, as well s using the fact he was a jew against him). While proven to be true, this is not a crime and thus won't be added to list. Another important thing to note is the 7th floor group, a supposed shadow government operating within the U.S. (according to the FBI, page 56). While considered corrupt in general, it is not a crime simply to be in a shadow government and so actual crimes will be focused on instead.
