Mantle is the former capital of Solitas and now serves as a rather degraded city.
While people still live in Mantle, it has seen the last of its days of glory. Mantles citizens are poor, low-class people that strive to make a living day-in and day-out. Additionally, most of the population that makes up Mantle are faunus who have a hard time making it in the city. Atlas has offered to take care of immigrants for almost twenty years now, yet the city seems to be skeptical of how well such a thing would work out. They believe it is better to try and revive the city of Mantle to its former glory and have consistent economic wealth throughout the kingdom rather than just in Atlas and surrounding territories. This is also the location of the White Fang's Atlas branch.
