They had finally returned from the outside world and the red lioness with he white belly was glad to be home. Although she has enjoyed her journey in to the rogue lands, she had missed the sand. She had been born here and every day of her fairly young life had been spent wandering on the white sands, feeling the dunes shifting, finding water and training to be a medic.
She had gone out on the trip because she had wanted some adventure and to see more of the world than the sands had given her. She had also gone to become a better medic and she had gained a lot of experience in the outside world, though there had been no major incidents, she had patched up a fair few cuts and scrapes and the odd sprain, travelling and healing had been an amazing experience.
Really though, she was sooooo glad to be home! After sleeping for a day, or maybe more, she had woken hungry and thirsty and ready to step out on to the shifting sand to perform some daily rituals.

The day had, as usual, started early for Ra, and he set out to patrol the outskirts as was his usual assignment. He padded along, steps light and mind clear of most every thought except those pertaining to his duty. He had too little to think of these days so it wasn't too hard a task to accomplish, even while he was not on patrol and simply wandering through the sandy dunes that made up the Firekin lands, his home for many, many moons now.
It was around mid-morning that he came upon a small watering hole and he heaved a sigh, deciding it was perhaps time for a short break and, after taking a drink, laying out, happy to do nothing but bask in the sun and let his mind wander. His tail flicked to and fro as he settled down, eyes on the distant horizon as he pondered his lot in life.
He had come here with a purpose, but along the way he somehow lost it to the routines of daily life.
"Monotonous," he sighed again, brow quirked in sudden mild annoyance.
