Basic Information

The Carl Gustaf recoilles rifle is a timeless weapon, dating back to WWII, with more modern variants being lighter and more powerful. In the late 2000's, special forces requested a lighter weight variant, to provide a longer range and better accuracy than the AT-4, while being lighter than many heavier weapons such as the TOW launcher. While a very effective weapon, an even more effective and lighter variant was developed, known as the M3E3. The weapon has a velocity of approximately 300 m/s compared to 255 m/s, giving it a slightly longer range and flatter trajectory than the original weapon, and is only 14.5 pounds, making it considerably lighter. The weapon is made of higher strength materials, such as titanium, carbon fiber and high strength aluminum, which are much lighter and stronger, but also significantly more expensive. The weapon also makes extensive use of thermobaric weapons and extremely sophisticate and lightweight guidance systems, which make it

Thermobaric weapons are traditionally used as an anti-infantry weapons, but are are also used to pierce armor. Thermobaric weapons pierce armor approximately 60% better than traditional shaped charge explosives, and also has far superior secondary after-armor effects, with the incendiary weapon filling the gaps of the armor and killing the crew inside or melting through the engine and armor.
