I write you out my love and fear of your wellness. I have just taken part in a meeting where I learned some news that...well, I'm sure you're well aware of, you've always been more perceptive than I. Evelyn Lionis came to Zalto requesting aid, and as acting monarch it was I she spoke to.
My husband remains ill behind closed doors and I do not wish to throw Zalto into a war without his council...which means that until he proves well, Zalto will not answer any call to arms from Father, but that is not what makes me worry.
Our Cousin has already made it clear to me that any of us that take part in this war will be either imprisoned or executed. Esther/Alistair, I urge you, do not take part in this war.
