I have been trying to get a job at the dollar General here on and off for years. I never seem to have good timing. Right now I live 3 minutes away walking, from my living room. Some of you may know my current walk to work is 30 minutes.

I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!

My current job has been freaking killing me. Some weeks I work 60 hours, and my schedule is sporadic. Go in at 6am, go in at 10am, getting off at midnight, it's chaos. We're a 24/7 store that's been understaffed 8 months. I've been so stressed out and becoming someone I'm not. I'm rude to people at work. I mean not for no reason, but sometimes not for a good one. xD I'm becoming a negative person and I don't like it.

Dollar General in only open from 8am to 10pm. They don't serve food, they don't have gas pumps, instead of two bathrooms to clean there's just one. Not a high traffic area as much as Casey's.

I'm so freaking excited. It's going to be so much better, I just know it. And I will also be making $10 an hour now instead of $9.75. Instead of being a "crew member" I'll be a "lead sales associate".

I've had so much bad stuff happen lately and I'm so happy it's gonna turn around.

Don'tcha wish you could have a job doing what you love? I'd love to be a virtual community event coordinator.

I know, right? The sad thing is I don't even enjoy the business me and my friend own that much either. xD I didn't realize when you made t-shirts and stickers you had to pick out hundreds of dots and lines. :/ I didn't realize nobody would buy our s**t. xD We sell to one dude pretty much. And so far I've made $25 on the printing side of things but spent countless hours on it. I enjoy wrapping the crystals which is just me, but I've sold 3 I can think of. Since we opened in April. It's really disappointing and discouraging. We're starting to just have back stock of crap and I wonder how long it'll pile up. Man, I've never said any of that to anyone. xD I hold a lot of stuff in, I really need Gaia.

A virtual event coordinator sounds awesome. I don't think I'm creative enough anymore, but if I was I would be interested in doing that too. You should try to work for Gaia, haha. That would be so cool. I bet you have to live where there HQ is though. I'm not sure. I've wanted to work for Gaia but I never bother to look into it. xD Maybe there's a cosmic reason, like I'm already on my PC too much and it's already gave me carpel tunnel syndrome. xD I need an active job since I am so addicted to PC when I'm at home.

Honestly, my dream is to own a Smoothie King franchise. Everyone always tells me, why not just make your own Smoothie place? But no. I like how they already have it all set up, already have great products. They already have a name for themselves. Sure, in some areas people are like "Wtf is Smoothie King?" But anywhere you put it, it's super freaking popular. It makes so much money and it's so simple. I'd be unlike most others, I'd be an owner operator. I'd pay myself hourly just like the others and work a few days a week to make sure the place looked good and the people were fully trained. It would be amazing.. like freaking heaven to have that dream come true.

I feel you. Creating a brand is a headache and a half. I currently work for a lady who built an afterschool drama program over the last 20 years. I wish I could build my own because she's scared of letting it go and kind of controlling, but who knows how long it took to get to a successful level where she has 28 kids at just one school trying to sign up and eight other schools all with money pouring in every semester. Who knows how much it takes to maintain it and the political stuff she's had to do to protect the company from falling apart I commend all business owners whose company has survived more than two years and starts to be profitable. Shoot, even building a guild took me a year before I started to feel like it was successful, and then life hit and I had to let it go. It lasted a little while with the crew I had in place, but now it's all just memories.

Yeah, I shouldn't beat myself up so much. I forget that practically every business had a hard time in the beginning. I actually just watched a video at Dollar General (for new hire) and they went out of business in the beginning! xD They couldn't afford the rent. xD The small town they were in was so devastated to lose the store that the townspeople used their own money to build a new one, hahaha. We've only been going 6 months.. so maybe I should wait awhile to start hating on it, haha. My mom told me most businesses don't even see a profit the first year. Most of our tools were stuff we already had. The only things we had to buy were a heat press and some weeding tools. So we're probably already turning profit. I'm just not sure how much she paid for the heat press.

I don't want to just assume this lady you work for is old, but if she's been teaching drama for 20 years I would have to think she's getting there. xD Maybe you can take over when she's too old to do it anymore or in the tragic but realistic event of her death. If you really want to do it, you should though. At least try so you can say you did and not wonder "what if?" I self published a few books though an online company. It went nowhere, but I tried. I don't beat myself up over any of my failed businesses, which I've actually had a lot of, haha. I'm glad I tried, and chalk it up to I'm in a crappy area and just don't know the right people. If I was in a rich city I bet I could do great. People here have a hard time paying bills and buying food, trying to sell them anything is tough.

Definitely feel you on the failed guild. I dunno if you already knew this but I had a guild before this one. Insomniacs of Gaia or IoG. I had a major falling out with the Vice Captain. It was my guild, my idea, I started it on my own, put in countless hours and guides, but he stole it from me. Didn't bother fighting it cause that's what you sign up for when you promote someone to Vice. They have just as much power as you and that means they can ban you from your own guild. It was super popular, more than this one ever was. But I checked on a mule and it's dead now. They killed mah baby. T.T We have more activity than they do, haha.
