ABILITIES&WEAPONS
Ability:
Apothecary--
The magical ability of Vohku has manifested itself in the form of a special communication with plant life. As a Shen Lung (spirit dragon), he is able to communicate with the spirit of vegetation, as it were. As with this, he is able to coax medicinal and alchemical effects from any flower. This limits his use of plants to angiosperms (no pine cones!). Also, he must brew/steep/prepare or ingest the flower directly to receive the effect. This means a three post waiting period. Effects can range from healing to bolstered strength for a period of about five posts. Nothing too drastic like mind reading or teleportation, don't worry. Will be transparent about procuring herbs/preparing potions. Another downside is that this man has the social IQ of a black swan.

Espada Ropera

SECRETS
Bio:
--The sum of many years of dogged and honorable determined pursuits of the security of their country and such scientific disciplines as alchemy, mechanics, astronomy, making many advancements in order to more effectively hunt and exterminate the wild and dangerous beasts that populate Epsilon. They have done these things for that end, and the never-ending fight against the creatures of the night have kept them continuously striving to better themselves.
When the nation of Zalto was young, a passionate scholar by the name of Gaeus Arinna was contacted by the royal family to perform for them some alchemy and demonstrate some of his inventions. Ecstatic, the young student of the world rushed to the castle at once. Of course, the man was aware of the large populations of wyverns and other monsters (including beastmen)--they were quite the nuisance, keeping the nation from expanding to their current size--but didn't think he was being called in to help solve this issue.
The show went on without too much trouble. Poor Gaeus was nervous, though, and fumbled over himself, tripped over his words, just a bit. Still, the royals seemed to be impressed. His primitive machines and clockwork were met with approval, but it was the things he made out necessity--that is, tools to help civilians like himself fend off said creatures and alchemic endeavors for healing and the boosting of strength--they really began to be excited for.
When asked, the man accepted their 'request' to help with a shrug, acquiescing to his new duty not as a defeated inventor but as a newly professional scientist. Each day Gaeus would report to the castle from his home on the outskirts of the kingdom, where he had access to nobles who were well-educated in history and a library full of writings from people like him through the ages. He was read anything that took his fancy, and his notes evolved from incomprehensible scribbles to something that could be interpreted by builders in the service of the other noble houses. This was the life of Gaeus, and as he went on he saw two generations and the growth of his kingdom's borders after him.
On his last night on this plane, the patriarch of monster hunting was surrounded by his sons and daughters, grandsons and granddaughters. As he was being visited by his family and making peace with all around him, his pride was doubled by a letter from the castle. It was addressed to his son, a shopkeeper and alchemist name Lamuk. Lamuk lit up the sniffling room with his smile, waving his legacy at his father.
And that night they celebrated, despite Geaus' passing; and even the grandfather died smiling, knowing that the crown had honored their toils and had elected them to join the peerage of Zalto as a Barony. House Arinna was born that night with the passing of Gaeus, and Lamuk became known as the first baron of the line.
He moved into the role aided by his son, Vikel, whose tongue was swift despite his ineptitude with the alchemic practices the family had become famous for. His was a business mind, and with the guidance of his more traditional parents, the wyverns were driven back into the mines over that generation.
Seven generations passed from Vikel's to Zohku's, and in that time the barony had branched out. Not confined to alchemy and inventing, the family added such occupations as banker, musician, advisor, and so on to their collective resume, though the heads were most often practitioners of alchemy and scientists above all else. In this expansion, House Arinna had absorb other families, such as Almin, where the young current patriarch hails from.
In his life thus far, our young hero has found that living up to the stories of acrobatic rooftop hunters assassinating wyverns and monsters of every shape with anemia is quite a tall order. His business sense is not quite as sharp as Vikel's; he doesn't broker funds; our young Baronet seems not yet to have discovered his niche. But, as they say, it is the journey that is most interesting.
