xxxxxxxxx█ Annabelle James --
Annabelle James was born to a well-off but dysfunctional English family. Her parents never spent much time at home, almost always on work trips, and so she was often left to entertain herself. This led to her telling lies to children at school about the things her parents were off doing. It started with things like, "Well.. I'm not supposed to tell anybody... but... My dad is an MI6 agent." and "My mum is off backpacking in China". As she grew, so did her lies. "My mum died when I was two." Followed by the inevitable spiel about how she never really got to know her mother, and just having a father was hard for a growing girl. Of course, she did the same thing to her parents when they were around. She told them of the friends she had spent the summer with, and a stray dog she had taken care of for a while before it disappeared again. Eventually these escalated so far as to get one of her high school teachers fired for an assault he never committed. She hadn't even felt bad.
In her senior year of high school, Annie's parents decided to uproot her from England and move them to Los Angeles, California, where Annie spent a bit of time acting with the local populace. It was in her time here that she learned how easy it could be to steal from people, or play at their heartstrings for money and food -- especially if you told them some sob story about how you came from England with dreams to act in American films, but you were still looking for a job in the meantime, and waiting on a callback. She simply found it an interesting way to pass the time, though she didn't really need any of it. She often wanted to see just how far she could get.
The "Mihaela Vasile" Phase --
By the time she was Nineteen, she had learned to speak in an almost perfect "valley girl" voice, copying the way that the people around her spoke. Her parents began paying for her to go to college, and things became rather boring for a while. She spent most of her school days trying to think of something better to do, and it wasn't until she was walking down the street and saw a sign for a Fortune Teller that she thought why not give that a shot?
She went in and purchased a fortune telling for herself, just to see how the woman did it, and then she opened up her own home for the practice under the name "Mihaela Vasile". She went so far as to make her own business cards with her address, made up name, and the title Fortune Teller. She left these cards on tables at her college, tucked them in student's backpacks, and left them in certain locations around the area. She wasn't expecting much, but ended up being amazed at the number of people who showed up to get their fortunes told. It was like taking candy from a baby. What amazed her even more was the fact that many of the people actually seemed to believe that she was who she said she was, and could do what she said she could. She carried this on for about a year before eventually tiring of the ploy.
She needed something bigger and more exciting. Although she continued to see a few of her regular clients (They claimed they would be lost without her!), she mostly left Mihaela Vasile for dead, claiming to people that she was moving back to her homeland.
The "Aria DeLange" Phase --
After Mihaela Vasile came Aria DeLange, Paranormal Investigator extraordinaire. She decided to continue along the supernatural line, as so many people held these beliefs. Especially in LA. It seemed everyone was determined to have the spookiest stories and the most difficult to explain occurrences. Almost immediately after creating Aria DeLange, her "work email" flooded with messages and requests. Of course, she charged a pretty penny -- ghost hunters like her were difficult to get a hold of. They had such busy schedules. She created her own website and everything. With her parents money, she purchased the equipment she would need to pull the whole charade off. Of course, the people she "helped" didn't necessarily feel it was a charade, but Annie didn't believe in ghosts. She started small, with minor "haunts", and gradually let this escalate until she was a full-fledged demon hunter. Her Paranormal Investigation phase lasted another three years before she grew bored of this as well.
The "Eva Jordan" Phase --
At Twenty-Three, she decided to give up Aria DeLange, and become Eva Jordan. In this phase of her life she gave up the Supernatural track, and became a shoulder for lonely, wealthy men to cry on. It was incredible what a pretty face could do for you. She still had much of her money from her time as Aria DeLange, but the men she scammed didn't know that. She told one man she had nowhere to live. He paid for her to get an apartment. She told another she had totaled her car, and could only get a cheap Audi. He bought her a Porsche. Her sugar daddy phase didn't last nearly as long as the other two did, and Eva Jordan soon died in a tragic car accident.
"Kristen Ross" and "Jade Williams" --
It was here that she decided it was time for a change, and so just before she turned Twenty-Four, Annie moved to Vegas. However, when she did this, she opted not to take her real name along with her. She became Kristen Ross, a writer who came to Vegas for some inspiration. The money she had saved up from her previous scams got her there, and got her an apartment, but it wouldn't do for her to simply sit there wasting all of the money she had spent so much time acquiring, and so she brought back her man-scamming as Jade Williams. She hasn't ever gotten rid of Jade, but only uses her when she needs something expensive, or is "a bit short on rent".
"Henrietta 'Ettie' Longman --
Her most recent title is "Henrietta Longman", assistant to Vegas Magician Dimitri Cavallo. Her story is that she was trying to become a burlesque dancer, but no one thought she was good enough. Dimitri took the girl under his wing to show her the ropes in show business -- that, and the only thing his show was lacking was a pretty face since hes previous assistant had quit. Though she still has Kristen Ross as the name on all of her official papers, she has just as many with Henrietta Longman, and she really only created the character so that she would have her new boss as an alibi.
