---- The Medic - Garnet detests violence and always wanted to be a healer since he was a child.
---- Berserk Button - Don't ever give him an idea that you're comparing him to his dad. But most of all,
don't ever say that his mother was crazy. Peter Whyte learned that the hard way. He also doesn't appreciate straw nihilists, either.
---- Knight in Sour Armor - While he did came off as being exasperated and not at all overly sunshine and daisies, he was still noble-minded and compassionate for other people
---- I Am Not My Father - Despite looking a lot like his father and getting some of his hot-tempered nature, Garnet was very intent to remind people that he's not Jasper
---- Determinator - Despite his paranoia and cynical worldview, it can be argued that Garnet doesn't know when to quit and thinks it's not an excuse for him to be a nihilist. And if he's settled to one thing he wants to get done, he
grinds for it.
---- Hair-Trigger Temper - He unfortunately inherited his dad's temper, easily being irritated and gets resentful sometimes. Peter made a mistake of provoking him that Garnet loses his composure and beat the s**t out of him in third year. But after that, he felt horrified to himself and went to a therapist to not do it again.
---- Big Brother Instinct (Cousin Variety) - While he and his cousin Mera aren't buddy-buddy, he always expressed his concern for her. Much to Mera's chagrin.
---- The Dutiful Son - There are times that he resented his remaining family's lingering fear that he might be as similar to Jasper, but Garnet is still dutiful enough to maybe redeem his surname to good measure
---- Deadpan Snarker - He enjoys doing it, but sometimes it can be a bit self-deprecating
---- Hope Is Scary - He is really taken back about how his friends like Rich, Lucy, and Alec were being nice to him. And was even surprised that Treva was honest about her having feelings for him. In a way, Garnet was scared that the good things might be taken away from him. He got better, though.
---- Greater Need Than Mine - Despite being a Determinator, Garnet can be this if it means sparing his loved ones. Treva had felt exasperated for his heroic-complex about how he was more concerned for her than his own, when he told her to run away instead of saving him from Jasper. In his defense, Garnet was scared of her getting killed.
---- It's Not You, It's Me - The reason Garnet didn't want to do anything about his feelings for Treva was because he thinks he thinks he's not good enough for a boyfriend and that someone has to have low standards to even have feelings for him. Treva called him out of this.
---- Shoo the Dog - Treva tried to save Garnet from an assaulting Jasper, though Garnet told her to run for her life instead.
---- Take me Instead - Garnet tried to pull his off on Jasper if it meant sparing Treva. It did not work and got them both kidnapped instead.
---- Undying Loyalty - Garnet was undeniably loyal to anyone he cared about, even if he still expressed his exasperation when they do something "stupid". However, this lead to him being more concerned for others than himself.
---- Living is More than Surviving - Garnet was cynical and a survivor, but he still dreams to simply living his life and ambition than surviving in fear.
---- Self-Made Man - Sure, he was technically well-off, but Garnet achieved what he wanted to achieve through sheer will and determination. In fact, he never shows to anyone that his mother works for the Wizengamot because he wants to feel self-sufficient.
