Quest Incoming! [ Peppermint Coffee | Dire | Sway ] Edit Level: Light Wolf Species: Dire Gender: Male Starting Stage: Adult Cosplay?: No WIP Request: No
Sway is a rather serious individual. He's very rooted and level-headed when it comes down to it. He would rather think things over than act in a brash manner, and sometimes that gets him in trouble. He's been this way since he was born and perhaps it was a good thing, considering he'd be there for his mother. Catching rabbits, and the quicker things is very hard for him because he can over think so easily that he misses his chances. Because of this he's a bit underfed, a bit skinny. He doesn't scavenge often, he thinks it is beneath him, but if it's that or death he'll eat someone else's sloppy left overs. He won't eat anything more than a day or two old to avoid getting sick. It's happened before and he nearly died for it. When it comes to honoring his kill, he does it by not wasting any of the meat. He tries to eat everything before walking away. Except the stomach and a few other organs. He learned that those just make him sick if he eats them.
It's hard to get under Sway's skin or on a 'bad' side. But if you do, he doesn't confront you. He would rather walk away from confrontation than face it. He's not a fighter. He knows he'll always lose because of how skinny he can get, never gets quite up to one hundred percent strength. Honestly, Sway doesn't think a lot about what if's or the past. He's focused on the now. Looking at the bigger picture wasn't something he could afford to do growing up, so he doesn't incorporate it into his adult life. Live life for the now.

• History
Sway's parents had him when they were older wolves. They thought it was impossible for them to get pregnant, but Sway was born by some miracle. His parents never talked about trying for another litter, because they were old when they had him it would be impossible. They were very doting, loving parents, but his mother could sometimes be very flighty. From a young age he realized he had to help his father keep his mother from wandering too far. She would often forget to feed herself, worrying to get Sway fed first. It was as though her memory was just disappearing every day. It got worse as Sway got older. Some days she didn't remember who Sway was, or that she had a family at all. Finally his mother just fell asleep one day and never woke up. His father went not too long after her. Since then, he's been a little lost with himself.
The only expectations on him were from his father, and that was to stay around and help with his mother on her bad days. He hasn't changed much since he was a teen helping gather his mother from odd places. Now he doesn't have the responsibility of taking care of her. That's basically all that has changed.
• Plots:
Just the general join some pack, find a girl, have a family. I'm bad at pots.

Hey Coffee!
• Why is Sway so serious? Did something happen in the past that is the basis for this aspect of his personality, or has he always been this way?
• You say he has a hard time hunting, or just plain misses often - how does this affect him, physically? Is he thin? Is he undernourished? Or has he found other ways to keep himself fed? Does he scavenge? If so, how old are the kills he eats and has he ever gotten sick? Or does he manage to hunt enough on his own that he doesn't need to worry about those things?
• Does he ever feel bad for the prey he kills? If he's down to earth and grounded, does he have any spiritual beliefs or hangups that make it hard for him to kill? Or is he a logical hunter, trying to pinpoint the best way to leap down upon prey and kill it quickly, with little fuss?
• I'd like a bit more to his personality. Right now, he feels a bit one-dimensional. Does anything ever upset him? Does he think about his family a lot? Does he worry about how he'll survive alone? Does he try to push past all the doubts and cover up emotions?
• Did his parents ever have other pups, or talk about them, or was he literally the only offspring they ever had? Did they put a lot of expectations on him because of that?
• Has he changed since losing his parents?
• Plots are a bit bare - be creative! Talk to others to come up with ideas! --- How would he deal with a situation that tests him? He's gone without a kill and hasn't been able to scavenge successfully for a few weeks and he's starting to really feel hungry. Does his logic give way? Does someone come along and help him, leaving him indebted and perhaps a bit starstruck? --- What if he's required to make a split second decision? There's a puppy drowning in the Slypstream - what does he do? He has to act quickly, or the puppy could drown! Or does he even care...? --- What if someone makes him angry? No, like, REALLY angry? What causes it? How does he cope with the loss of his logic and level-head?
I do like that he has a characteristic that can be seen as a flaw, in that it causes him to have a harder time with normal everyday behaviors, but I want to know more about him as an individual.

Okay, I added some. Honestly, I'm not going to touch plots because I no longer pre-plan ideas. They all fall through, and it's taken a toll on me over the years. I'm sorry.
