There would probably be an issue with Platinum, so until then we'd recommend playing in Gold Mode instead of Platinum Mode if you're going to use Gold Find.

That seems like something we could probably do. We can't currently do that for white-listed sites with regards to images though.

Speaking of subscriptions, you know what'd be neat? An "edit your billing information" button.
I know Zero Omega said one would come, eventually. But I needed to update my billing information sooner than that, so I temporarily canceled my subscription to do so. Now I can't resubscribe because the buttons are missing gonk Will they reappear anytime soon?
Long story short: an "Edit Information" button would have saved me a lot of headaches.

Could we pretty please have some more interaction with and communication from the staff members working on LK? I know that lionheart is busy with the economy project and that maybe he'll be more active with us now that it's coming to fruition. I get that, I do. But with the way that the settings button was recently added in (i.e., without any notification whatsoever), I'm just a little concerned that all updates are going to be made silently and/or secretively like that. Don't get me wrong- I'm both thrilled and grateful to see an update and I can certainly understand any hesitation after the Sycamorte nerf blowout. It's just... I don't know. The radio silence about LK leads some of us to start putting on tinfoil hats and speculating about when or how the game will end. (Let's be honest: the tinfoil hats are not attractive.) Some simple interaction, whether it be updating the Official LK Update Thread or posting in one of the casual chat threads like the ones asking about your favorite kin, would go a long way towards restoring some faith.
Side note: thanks for adding the settings option! As someone who deals with chronic migraines, I'm adoring the auto-mute.

Sorry but not all developers and artists on Gaia are as talkative as me and others who frequent ATS. He still loves putting in time to update the game, and supporting LK players, and I forward questions for him to answer as often as I can. Communication is a completely different skillset that some enjoy more than others.

The reason why you're seeing these same five items is because these are items that are currently exclusive to Flynn and CIs, so it's giving people a chance to pick them up and get new items out of them.

Question: So each time i try to organize my inventory and save the changes, all the other items get automatically re-arranged and send to different pages. Is this a bug caused solely by having too many items (i have 18.5K) or is it widespread? Thankfully i haven't had items disappear suddenly from my invo yet.

I'm not sure. Hopefully, the new inventory system will help you organize better. 18.5k is a lot of items! I'm testing on a 60k test inventory, so it should hold up!

The meat of the system is a new global granting system that grants a much more fair amount of platinum for all features across Gaia. The platinum currency is designed for convenience, and to handle inflation by it's simple nature of reducing the digits.

However, I am very concerned that with the new currency necessitating re-pricing of all items on the site, this will be an opportunity for a ton of scamming and con-artistry by people who know the market and don't shy away from doing anything to earn currency that won't get them banned.
Has the staff foreseen this, and if so, what do you guys think can be done to prevent people from getting ripped off while the markets stabilize after the introduction of the new currency?

We have an idea for how we want to handle this, at least on the Marketplace. The MP is the only place where anything can be proactively done due to its automated nature.

Sometimes when I report I come across issues that don't fit into the existing categories but they are clearly violations of either the ToS or the rules of individual forum sections. I usually end up filing them under inappropriate content as a last resort but even that category doesn't feel applicable in some instances.

I, too, got a Conventioneer card from both the panel and the Genkimix booth at AX2017. The one I got from the Genkimix booth did not work, however the card from the panel absolutely worked...
I get the feeling that either the codes are really finicky or... something fishy is going on... confused
Yeah we figured out the problem, some of the cards have an "I" in them and the system doesn't accept "I." We're working on fixing that so you guys can redeem them. Keep your hands on 'em and we'll let you know when they're fixed.

but can it be bumped up if only slightly?
512 has been such a menacing number for me when it comes
down to "your sig is too big, you used 514 characters sorry!"
...i already shorten my links as much as possible, but the bbcode
being included in the character count really makes a dent
into it. maybe keep the links counted but take out the
tags? like [ align = whatever ] / [ align ] etc

So when you are looking at marketplace listings will everything be dual-listed (gold and platinum) or will you only see listings for the currency you've chosen or will you see listings for both and if you want to buy in the opposite listing will you have to go to your account settings and switch over to make the purchase?

You'll see all listing no matter what currency the seller posted in, and they'll be displayed in the currency that you've chosen.

It's a pretty difficult problem to solve, the reason being is that IP bans are basically ineffective. We have some methods of handling things like this, but have a permanent way of blocking these users is a much larger problem than it seems. It's a difficult battle for any massive community.

Would it be possible to have a 'friends only' setting for ghosting? Like allowing only friends to ghost? Currently ignored users are still allowed to ghost and this might be something I'd be interested in. If people I ignore are not allowed to see my posts or threads, they should not be allowed to ghost me or my inventory. Is that possible to do?

Unfortunately avatar display is much harder to block, as once an avatar is saved, it is stored on another server and served much like any other images on Gaia. Besides, it's not that hard to create a new account to check out somebody...

When do Angel Subscribers get their GC/item? Is it on the 15th or the 1st?

You get it on your subscription date. So if you subscribed on July 2, sometime tomorrow you would be granted the item. Please note, it is not necessarily granted at midnight, so if it's not there in the morning just wait, you will get it later in the day.

Has Gaia considered that inventory issues are due to the added cooldown period?
Because I personally have notice that the inventory issues when moving inventory items started since the cooldown period was implemented. Personally, I think the cooldown period should be removed [and all my reasons can be listed here]. I'm sure that there are many, including myself, that would like to see Gaia finally get around to fixing ALL inventory errors, both when moving items and when opening RIGs/CIs/caches/gifts.
The two issues are not related, and we're actually re-writing a lot of the backend with the aim to rid of the item moving errors that you're seeing right now. We will not be removing the cooldown as it's not linked to inventory issues, and we don't want the site to crash anymore. Although some of the changes that we're making for the release of Gaia Mobile might have, and it's something that we're working hard in sorting out.
