Roleplay Application
Single Spells
When casting a spell, the random number generator will be selected as an action for the post.
The RNG for each spell is 0-2.
0 = the spell/attack misses, is dodged or has failed
1 = the spell/attack is semi-avoided but still grazes it's target
2 = target is hit with the full force of the spell/attack
Example
Misaka is a B-rank.
Misaka casts a basic spell (worth 75 attack points)
After RNG 0-2:
0 = opponent has avoided the attack (no HP taken)
1 = opponent tired to move out of the way but was hit with a few sparks (minus 38 HP) {Technically minus 37.5 points but we'll round them up}
2 = opponent is hit with the full spell (minus 75 HP)
Multiple Spells
Every spell cast MUST be rolled for with the 0-2 in mind.
That means if there's 2 spells, the RNG will be 0-4.
If there's 3 spells, the RNG will be 0-6.
And so on.
Example
Misaka casts two basic B-class spells (a total worth of 150 attack points)
0 = Both spells miss (no HP taken)
1 = opponent is semi-hit with the first spell but avoids the second (minus 38 HP)
2 = opponent is fully hit with the first spell but avoids the second (minus 75 HP)
3 = opponent is fully hit with the first spell and semi hit with the second (minus 113 HP)
4 = opponent is fully hit with both spells (minus 150 HP)
Defence Spells
The same RNG 0-2 is applied to defence spells or blocks except instead of taking HP, they take away attack points.
Example
Misaka casts a B-class basic attack spell on Katiki, who is also B-class, and in response she casts a defense spell:
0 = the defense spell failed
1 = 38 points taken from Misaka's spell
2 = 75 points taken from Misaka's spell
