Here in Neo Midgar, we have no problem with people making their own plots to RP by. You may choose, for example, to have your character take on a mission or something else entirely. Our one rule is that none of the user created Plots go against the original plots of Final Fantasy VII, Dirge of Cerberus, or Advent Children.

Here is a basic list of Plots:

WEAPONS: The WEAPONS are giant creatures created by the planet to serve one of two functions.

A: Cause enough destruction to fuel the lifestream, so that the planet may heal itself.

B: Destroy sources of corruption to the planet, so as to attempt to purify itself.

WEAPONS are mindless creatures that only are capable of fulfilling one of these two functions. The only way to make them do otherwise is destroy them.

In terms of the Omega WEAPON, it is different from the other WEAPONS in base purpose. Instead of causing destruction to heal the planet, or purify the planet, it seeks to heal/purify the universe, by destroying the planet and all life on it to do so. This is so that other planets may come about (healing), or to attempt to destroy planetary infestations (purification).

2. Jenova:

Jenova cells enhance a person's maximum potential, yes, but having them does not automatically grant one immense power. One must train for quite a long time and in intense situations in order to actually achieve this potential. Jenova is a planetary parasite, which spreads its cells throughout a planet in order to feed off of the planet's life energy. Jenova is a hive mentality being, causing all hosts of the parasite to be driven toward the same goal as Jenova itself. The more of Jenova within a being, the more intense the desire of the being to achieve that goal. Jenova cells may become dormant for times, allowing the character to act freely, disregarding the will of Jenova. The cells may, however, awaken at any time and seize control of the being they are within.

Jenova cells also allow a person to cause hallucinations in other beings, such as viewing person hallucinating as being elsewhere, or manipulating other beings to see them (hosts of the cells) as something other than themselves. Jenova cells also allow the host to teleport from one place to another, but they can only bring with them other hosts. Lastly, Jenova cells act as a beacon (due to the hive nature), allowing hosts to sense the locations of other cells.

Purging the Jenova cells can be done by a variety of means. One can abstain from contact with mako, causing the cells to die, or one may ingest (or come in contact with) pure water. The water would cause pain so long as the cells are alive, however, as the Jenova cells would be trying to keep the being from cleansing itself. When the cells die, however, the host suffers from Geostigma until the water method of purging is done. One with Jenova cells can be killed, but one with Jenova cells cannot commit suicide or die of natural causes. Once the cells are purged, the host maintains abilities and strengths gained from the cells, but can no longer gain more.

3. Elemental Planes:

Elemental Planes are simply that. Planes outside the boundaries of the physical realm that are composed entirely of a single element. These planes surround the physical realm, and what we see the elements as are how they appear when in collision with the other elements. As such, the planes are designed to remain separate and distant from the physical realm. Whenever a person gates to an elemental plane, it pulls that plane to the physical realm, causing the two to touch at the point of gating.

The elemental planes are not entirely elastic, and if left in a position for too long, it will begin to lock that way. Which causes that element to begin devouring the physical realm. When a plane has been locked for longer than normal, the element itself, seeking to return to the stabilized order of things, will unleash elementals to destroy whatever is keeping it from returning to the original order. When a plane has been locked too long, the opposing plane bends away from the physical realm, as the planes remain equidistant at all times.

Each plane is similar to the facet of a crystal, so this would be a six-sided crystal that is flat at one end, but toward the other end narrows to a fine point. Each facet is a pure concentration of a single element, and as the elements "overflow" from the planes, they collide in the middle of the crystal, forming the line that is the physical plane. At the flat end, you have the Beginning, and at the narrow, you have the End. The length of the crystal represents the passing of time. Here is an illustration:
