 Favor stood under a tree in an open valley watching the skies. He was supposed to meet another Alicorn here, he hoped this was the right place and that he didn't get lost. He shifted his hooves a bit uncomfortable in all this open daylight. Surely Lethe would be here soon, it had been far too long since he had seen her. He had much to tell her, he supposed she may wonder where his twin was. There was a time when it was rare to see the two apart. Perhaps she wouldn't approve of Favor's actions. He did admit sometimes that he went a little far. Not that he would ever admit it to Fortune. He knew that Fortune would have to come around and forgive him eventually right?

Lethe had made a plan to meet Favor, an alicorn she had met before, in the open valley by a tree. Normally one would be like what tree but it was the only tree by itself. It also helped that there was an alicorn already standing under it. She beat her wings slowly as she took her time flying through the air. Like the alicorn she was meeting it was odd to see her without her twin. However Mnemosyne was busying helping another pony out and Lethe was not needed at this time. Landing somewhat near the tree Lethe looked at Favor. She wasn't sure exactly why he had requested this meeting but had agreed anyways. Walking over she noted that Fortune was no where in sight. "Hello Favor. Strange to see you without your other half." One Little Jay I love your little rp bubble! Also it just dawned on me that they both are twins. XD How do you want to say that they met before this?

Favor walked out from under the tree giving a nod of acknowledgment to the Alicorn as she approached. "Ah Lethe, stunning as ever." he gave a warm smile to the pony he had not seen in quite a while. "Surely you are wondering why I asked you here, sit with me a moment?" He walked back over to the tree and set himself down in the grass. He remembered meeting the other years before when Fortune dragged him on a quest to find a set of female Alicorn twins believing it was their destiny to be together. Foolish one, Fortune was, yet perhaps he could get some use out of that meeting. Lethe seemed close enough to his equal, perhaps she could understand his actions. What little of a conscious he had was lately acting up. He grimaced when she mentioned his other half. "Sadly Fortune could not be here today, I see your sister is not here; off helping someone... perhaps? I was wondering if you could help me." He gave a wicked smile. he knew what he wanted was probably too much to ask, but if anyone could make Fortune forgive him it was Lethe. After all couldn't she just make him forget?

Lethe gave Favor a blank look at the compliment before nodding her head. "Thank you Favor. Most don't think I'm 'stunning' in that way." She followed him over to the tree and sat down next to him. "I most certainly was wondering that." She also remembered meeting him due to Fortune seeking her and her twin out. It had been a most..... interesting meeting. Seeing the grimace she tilted her head and got an interested look. "Hm... is it simply due to him being unable or is it perhaps something else?" She asked him, "Yes Mnemosyne is busying helping another and my presence was not helping." She paused seeing his smile and with the statement of him wanting her help she couldn't imagine it was anything good. "Would depend on what kind of help you are looking for Favor. Do you wish to forget something? Just remember I can only make you forget things temporarily. Anything permanent is not possible." She didn't think that he might want to have Fortune forget something. Usually someone requesting her help wanted it for themselves not another.

Favor shook his head disapprovingly at her dismissive comment. Surely Lethe knew she was beautiful, all of his kind were. "Be proud you are an Alicorn we are all proud beautiful creatures." He then thought whether or not to tell her the truth about his brother. He decided the truth was unnecessary "He is a very busy guy, many people to bless, and you know him off on his quest to find true love." the last two words dripped out of his mouth as if they were acid. He very much detested the notion of love, it was nothing but a distraction. Have you not tried? To make one forget permanently that is? Or at least make someone forget SOMEONE, someone they only knew for a short while. Surely you can do that." it was true that Favor did not know the extent to which Lethe could use her powers. His powers were permanent, so he assumed that all Alicorns were capable of it. "How do they work? Your powers that is." He leaned in close to Lethe lifting a hoof to the motion to her horn, surely that was where the magic came from.

Lethe knew that she was beautiful in her own way. Just many thought she was dull or not as pretty as her bright sister. "Oh I am proud to be an Alicorn despite what other ponies say." She said with a small tilt her head. She listened to what he said picking up on his disdain of the concept of true love. While she had no problem with love she had a hard time believing in true love when so many ponies come to her to forget a loved one. "I personally have not tried. All of the Alicorns of Forgetfulness keep a journal to be passed on; an ironic tradition to preserve the memories of one Alicorn meant to erase them." She replied with a smirk, "In these journals it is said that the Alicorn of Forgetfulness was capable of doing such a thing; making a pony forget permanently. But something happened and no longer are we able to. To do so can have dire consequences for myself and the pony who they were used on. Plus it is an exhausting thing to make somepony forget anything." "But I can make somepony forget another for a a little while. If it is just one memory then I can have them forget for a week. To have them forget everything... I am only able to do so for a day." She explained with a nod, "Yes my horn does play a part in it. I must enter the other pony's mind... their mindscape if you will, find the memory in question and hide it from them. Or just hide all their memories. I also must be touching them with my horn." She fell silent thinking of the times she had to use her powers. Everything in regards to them just came natural so trying to explain just how she hid the memories or entered the mind was nearly impossible. She looked at him again picking on one of his other comments. "Is there someone you are looking to forget?"

Favor paused his head turning to the side, "Despite what other ponies say? What do they say?" He looked a bit sad about her explanation. "If you can't help me no one can." He was quite dismayed at this thought. "I wanted to make Fortune forget something, something I did. He won't speak to me, and he needs to just forget all about it. Then things can go back to the way they were before... I need my brother." He looked down with a deep frown, "I suppose my powers work much like that. I have only used them once, quite recently. I didn't have to touch them, I just spoke the curse into being, but I did feel my magic come from my horn; and surround my whole being then transferred to the pony." He kind of looked off into the distance remembering the events of recent.

Lethe shook her head. "If you really must know they constantly compare me to my sister saying she is the good one and the useful one. And other things of that nature." She replied in a monotone voice. She tilted her head at Favor as he spoke. "So you don't want me to help you forget something but rather your brother. Well I can have him forget one thing for a week. It might be enough time for him to start naturally forgetting it. Or I can just hang around him and make his memories dull so he might not remember all of the details of why he's mad at you." She paused and considered what Favor said of his own powers. It sounded like he used them... or rather invoked them differently than she did. Yet all the magic seemed to come from their horn. "It must be useful to be able to just speak and use your powers. It can be difficult using mine since I must touch them." She said pausing and returning to their original topic, "If you don't mind me asking.... what did you do to Fortune to make him not speak to you?"

Favor nodded "I know that feeling all too well, as bad luck is my domain. It says bad right there in the description! If you can't make him forget forever he wouldn't forgive me for trying to tamper with his mind forget I said anything.He set his head down on his front legs as if pouting. "He was smitten by some pony who was only using him as a rebound all I did was show him love was a fickle thing and ponies hearts were easily swayed." He shrugged it was no big deal he did his brother a favor after all.

Lethe nodded seeing the problem. While Favor would get a small respite in the end Fortune would be furious at him and would probably never speak to him again. "Ah yes... in that case it would probably be best that I not 'help'." She replied. She listened to what he had done and considered it. "Well maybe you showed him in the wrong way. Maybe there was a better way to do it.... but even if there wasn't.... I would say give him time. He may come to learn that you did him a favor and while he may not thank you he may forgive you and speak with you again." Honestly this sounded more like a problem Mnemosyne would be equipped to solve. She could truly show Fortune that the other pony he was supposedly in love in was only using him, or even focus his memories to show that he hadn't really felt love but simple infatuation.
