Born from pure darkness and hatred, demons are the children of the Demon King and his loyal servants. They are nightmare incarnate, destroying their opponents and reaping their souls to offer unto the Demon King as tribute.
However, after his death, they have settled into a more productive role in Celestria, becoming a bit more docile and law-abiding than they were in the War.
They enjoy conflict and battle and will never turn down a fight, even if the odds are stacked against them. It is generally unwise to challenge a demon unless you know you can win, for they do not back down once a fight is initiated and will most likely end up killing you. Most feared (literally) are the dread demons, whose mere presence casts a shadow of fear upon the weak-minded.
Demons come in many forms, specialties, shapes and sizes and can be male, female of non-specific gender. While they can be found just about anywhere (except the Light Kingdom,) the place where you will find the highest population of demons is in the Dark Kingdom.
