As she patched herself up, Nkosazana made her way to the second floor, looking for something that looked unfamiliar, or at least didn't look like it belonged.
Fortunately for her, in the middle of the hallway, there was something that didn't quite belong. She dashed over to it, relieved to see the image of her tower.
The Horsemen's Tower. It was fine. It was safe. All of the horsemen within would be safe, too. That was a relief. Now, how was she supposed to get over there, exactly? This mirror did not look like a portal, and she did not seem to be capable of using it like one, either.
Wait, was something changing?
Nkosazana squinted, leaning in closer as the Tower seemed to change. Was that -- were those Hunters?
Hunters were in her home.
Hunters were in their home,
again. They were attacking them,
again. She knew what they had done, and logically she knew, to some extent, they were justified, but the other part of her was horrified.
Hadn't they done enough?
Hadn't they ruined enough lives?Nkosazana fell to her knees, staring hopelessly through the mirror.
