Nkosazana was conflicted.

On one hand, she personally felt no real conflict with the humans, as a whole. They needed them, even if some of the other horsemen were fine to keep them as cattle until they broke down, bled, and died. She could even understand why some of them might have been upset with the horsemen, and couldn't necessarily fault them for the way they had Hunters which rose up against them.

She understood it, really.

Maybe there would be less Hunters if they were less harsh.

On the other hand, though, she also didn't belong here. This was not her home. These were not her lands. This was not her tower, without her own home in the sky. This place was the home of the Hunters, clearly from the woman in a white coat that faced her back.

Her copy, basically. Her copy in a jacket that didn't belong on her.

Nkosazana opened her mouth to say something to her, but no words initially came out. She flushed, uncertainly, and turned away. Zana, too, hesitated, but she decided that ultimately, this provided her an opening. Zana wasted no further time, running forward with her scimitar and slicing across Nkosazana's body with it.

Nkosazana quickly realized there was no way to talk herself out of this one.

With a gulp, Nkosazana summoned her marmeluke, placing it in front of her defensively. This wasn't very effective, as the Hunter Copy slashed forward again, and so Nkosazana sliced her marmeluke through the air, back and forth, in the way that only being alive for centuries could have taught her. The smooth cuts caused a gasp from her Copy, which sounded so much like hers she recoiled back.

Which opened up a new opportunity, of course, as Nkosazana was quickly coming to learn.

The priestess sliced her weapon through the air again. She could not falter.

Part of Nkosazana wondered if she would still be fighting if Death had not died and lost the clans.

As she took another swipe at her Hunter Copy, she knew the truth. She would. The Hunters didn't trust them, and she didn't trust herself. In more ways than one, honestly. The Hunters had been the ones to destroy their home, and Nkosazana could never forget that. If directly confronted like this, perhaps she still would have had trouble holding back.

She swallowed.

Nkosazana watched, helplessly, as Zana reached out for air. None came, and she collapsed to the ground.

She dropped her weapon to her side.

It was time to go.
