If you have a unique character you love and want to share with the shop, now is the perfect opportunity to try! The shop is hosting a Concept Contest open to everyone regardless of RNG luck, gold, time in the shop or characters owned, just show us how creative you can be!
Players will have a little over two weeks to prepare an entry, but you can only submit one character in this contest! All entries should be PM’d to the shop mule, The Space Cauldron, so please only PM us when you are certain which character you would like to enter for! This contest is open to characters of all factions, including rare characters, but there are a few things to keep in mind:
- Please be mindful that the shop operates under a PG-13 setting, as per Gaia’s TOS!
If you are new to the shop, you should probably avoid questing for Youma or Mauvian characters. Youma come with a lot of drawbacks and can make it difficult to get engrossed in the environment and truly interact with other characters while the faction is so limited. Mauvian characters are expected to be knowledgeable in guiding and upgrading Senshi, so roleplaying one of the Guardian Cats means that you should be at least somewhat familiar with the shop, their purpose, and how they interact with Senshi! Don’t let this discourage you if your heart is set on it, but please keep that in mind!
A player can only ever have one Guardian Cat; if you already own a Guardian Cat, you cannot win another.
While all factions are open, not all of our artists may be comfortable with drawing full youma or half-youma that won’t fit on templates. If you win, you may be asked to simplify your design to a level our participating artists are comfortable with.
Entering this contest means that you understand that if you win, you will not have any say on who does the first piece of art. You will only be receiving their first stage art and cannot order growth stage art until requirements are hit. Once the character is ready to grow, you may approach any artist to do their growth! All growths are free. Civilian art will not be provided at the time, unless you are entering for only a civilian character and win. Guardian Cats will receive both their Cat form and their Humanoid form.
Contest wins are not affected by cooldown; if you are currently on art cooldown, you may still enter. If you win, you will not be put on cooldown.
Please be mindful of any quests that have been posted; we are looking for unique concepts and well thought out characters so too many quests of the same name or sphere might dampen your chances! Don’t try to snipe concepts from other players!
You may enter for either an entirely new character or an upgrade of an existing civilian character. This contest is not for alt-powered art! While you may enter for just a new civilian character, all entries will be judged against each other and the staff will likely favor powered entries.
Please try to be a good sport; this is a competition and we do not have unlimited resources. Our artists work very hard to provide what they do for the shop but we cannot reward everyone who enters. If you do not win, don’t give up! We will have more opportunities for players to win characters in the future. Please remember that you can post any character, acquired or not, for critique! Asking for critique in stamping is not the same as asking for a stamp; if you ask for critique, you are asking for the moderator to give suggestions on how to improve the profile and make it stand out; if you ask for a stamp you are asking that the moderator just make sure your profile meets the standards for gameplay. We may not be able to get through every quest that has been posted for crit before the contest is ended, but please keep this mind for the future!
Do not discourage others from entering! If competition brings out the worst in you, please strongly consider if it is worth entering; this is supposed to be a fun event to allow a few new characters to be made. If you are making a deliberate effort to discourage people from participating, you may be disqualified from this (and possibly any upcoming) event.
All regular shop rules apply in character creation; if you have questions please PM the mule or ask in the MQ&A or Main thread!
Please fill out all forms completely! If there is a spot you cannot fill in, fill it with N/A. We are going to rely rather heavily on several sections of the form to pick our winners, so this is important!
After winners are contacted, they will have two weeks to set up their quest and post for stamping. If you fail to do so, your prize may be revoked or you may not be able to participate during the next concept contest! If you are having difficulties with your profile, you can always PM the mule to give us an update; we just want to make sure that people who enter are serious about playing their character!

If you are entering for an upgrade of an existing character instead of a new character, please fill out the same form! Please indicate in link to their existing journal when you post their Civilian name!
In addition to filling out the basic form, you will also be asked to fill out a prompt! Prompts help us see how the character will be played! While you may choose not to fill out the prompt, it may negatively impact you in judging. Entries should be no more than 1000 words, but try to keep them closer to 500! Please only select one prompt for the contest; if you win your character, you may use your entry as a requirement for growth!
