An individual, free-spirit, Orpheus tends to dance to the beat of his own drum. Surprisingly, given his family is musically inclined, this 'laya couldn't hold a tune in a bucket and seems to be more than a little tone deaf – and after several disasterous attempts at singing, it was swiftly decided by all parties involved that he would and should never attempt such a thing ever again. Ever. Instead, he turned to the beauty and freedom of dance and motion as his creative outlet.
He refuses to let other's dictate his actions, choices and opinions. Excpt in cases where it is very obvious they are right, such as the above mentioned incident. Or in the case of those he loves and respects. From them, he will listen to their opinions, and give them a fair shot, but he will still make up his own mind.
Active, he is in constant motion. Even if he is sitting, simply standing, or laying down, he has some form of movement – be it the twitching or tapping of tail or paws(s), to the flicking back and forth of his eyes or the clicking of his tongue, it is simply impossible for him to be completely still or at ease.
An artistic soul, he is a bit on the emotional and temperamental side, with passions that burn hot and bright. He is also very sensitive, a fact he tries to hide by being aloof and reserved with those he doesn't know. He zealously guards his heart and protects himself from hurt and heartbreak, though should such a thing ever occur, he would be quick to withdraw back to the love and support of his family.
