Race:: Hylian

Age:: 16

Height & Weight:: 5'10" 150

Appearance // Clothing notes:: Distinctly bears the clothes of the hero, cap included. This Link has opted to wear a tunic similar to the Hero of Twilight's, but with the exception of different pants. His scarless body is proof of his limited exposure to manual labor or dangers of most kinds.

Personality info:: This era's Link is a carefree, fun-loving, goof of a Hylian who often slacks and sometimes shirks his duties altogether to goof off with his friends. He's dismissed as an idiot by his friends most of the time, opting for slapstick of course, but is no less lovable for it--probably more so.

Era:: Current/main RP

Alignment:: Lawful good

Link grew up in a little village to the North of Hyrule castle, his parents being landowners and farmers who did fairly well for themselves and secured a seat at the Hylian assembly. Link tagged along a few times, but after he'd accidentally flipped the punch bowl for the third time it was thought best he stay home. His parents weren't so much worried about Link's safety, even as a young boy; no matter what it seemed like he was never hurt for long, no matter how far he fell. The young Hylian, who's ears were pointier than those around him, was perfectly content to play the days away at home, making quick work of chores, when he did them, to unsure maximum frolic levels.

Now eleven, Link finds himself asking the bigger questions in life: can I still fit into the same hollowed out tree trunk I did last year, should I try to carve my own shield, are girls cute instead of gross? All of these questions came to him eventually, and it wasn't as though his parents were no help at all; Link was simply in the care of the villagers most of the time. His actions speaking volumes, Link found the townsfolk often knew what he wanted just by reading his face: analgesic for bites, new shield, new strap for his slingshot, etc. It was here that Link encountered his first dungeon. With no sword he was barely able to escape. The villagers immediately held a meeting, wondering what the boy had stumbled upon. His parents were smart enough to know this talk wouldn't lead anywhere. When they'd asked the nobles they knew in castle town they were greeted with some confusion and were dismissed quickly as crazy for believing dungeons could exit in this peaceful world.

After that Link was forbidden to adventure, his parents taking the necessary step of appointing a "helper" to help the lad with his chores. Now Link and his friends had to change their focus to include tricking the poor helper so they could check out whatever secrets they knew were lurking around them. By fourteen the boy had already met his first Goron. They became friends, but Link had to wander out far past the village to meet with him. The problem was in how long this took without a horse. After saving up--a lot--Link was finally in a position to purchase one. The Hylian who sold it told Link he shouldn't be reckless, but come on... It's Link.

It was shortly after this that the village elder, in conference with the Seers of Castle Town, had determined that Link was to be told of his destiny, but with no eminent threat to the realm what could a hero do but wander? Sure, Link had fun traveling, but he couldn't help feeling he wasn't exactly being the Hero he was born to be. He shook those thoughts from his head, though, and continued to live life to the fullest out there in that sparkling field, the air an effervescent kiss. He kept the trust of the Royal Family by reporting in every once in a while; most the time the reports just degenerated into old fish stories and some yuks with the soldiers. They liked him, and offered him a spot in the service, several nice jobs, but Link respectfully declined, loving the crisp air of adventure far too much to let it go.

Now sixteen the young Hero is invited by the Royal Family to be a special guest at the grand opening of the Twilight Mirror. Such a momentous occasion is bound to bring excitement, but just what will it be? Bet our Hero will be there to find out!
