Hello Labbies! I think this idea has popped up in thread conversation before. I wanted to revisit it to see if there is still interest and if anyone wants to assist me in coordinating it.
The idea:
Raevans swap bodies and hilarity ensues.
Food for thought:
Here are a few questions that popped into my head that I would love opinions on.
- Which format would be prefered? ORP or allow everyone freedom to decide how they want to address the prompt.
- Guardians and non-owners included? If there is enough interest I think this can be arranged. biggrin
- Instigating factor for body swap? A magic spell gone wrong, a new essence running amuck, ect.
- Timeline. In canon, do you want this prompt to take place over a day or longer?

Cordelia actually has some experience in this as her and Ebony had been switched for a time when they'd come across an unusual ring in Adrian's belongings that had caused it.
Anyway, I don't know if I want Delia to be switched again, though it might be funny for her to go, "Great, not this crap again..." XDXD Whether or not she gets switched, she can still be involved with helping people/Raevans cope with the obvious disorientation and search for a reversal.
As for your questions, I would love to see more owners take an initiative in creating ORPs and am thus a huge fan of this idea especially if it allows more non-owner inclusion. We've all been there and know how daunting it can be to get our characters a foot into the Lab world.
If we are looking to get as many people hit at once as possible, a magic spell or potion gone wrong could be an easy answer. Though the idea of a new essence is intriguing. May I also suggest the possibility of a mischievous prankster like creature or being?
For time sake, I would suggest having a sign up period of people who want and can participate as well as which character(s) will participate. That way if we say the event/prompt will end in two weeks or whatever, then we aren't cutting someone off who had just joined, can close in a reasonable timeframe, etc.
I'd also like to suggest doing a random selection system for swaps and to see whether someone got effected or not.

This made me think of that episode of Teen Titans where Starfire and Raven swapped bodies and had to learn how to handle one another's abilities in order to save the boys. I think a similar idea might work here, like a "Crap, we're swapped. What should I do to make sure I don't destroy something/someone as you?"
Kinda like a more extreme way of getting to know someone and their abilities. e we
Also, I think it would be REALLY funny if a Frei got switched with a Sigel or Valsaros, just to see if they decide to eat something as the person they swapped with. Like, I know Laurel's first thought (after screaming and figuring out what to do with himself) would be "I'm going to eat everything I can while I, technically, have a stomach. /Proceeds to drown his poor swap partner's taste buds with the spiciest food he can find"

Thank you for your thoughts Ebs! I will definitely have a sign up and set some timelines for completion of the prompt.
@Bou: I thought of these scenarios as well! Lots of interesting situations for sure.
