No this bow is not just for show She stated as she glanced back at the bow that laid strapped to her back. I've spent many of years training with this bow to the point I can call myself an expert. She turned her gaze back onto Vergaelus as the man started to suck on a kiwi. You have no reason to trust me with any task but as I see it you have very little options here. If I must prove my skill than so be it. She picked up a grape and tossed it into her mouth as she eyed the man.
A moment passed before she finished what she had on her plate before setting it aside. She pushed herself off the ground and fixed her clothing before glancing down at him. How about this.. if I can hit that target over there She pointed towards one of the archery targets that was a good two hundrad meters away. Would you trust my skill?

 Challenge accepted. There was no choice for him to dismiss her claim completely and he needed the entertainment. If she was as she appeared to be; Then maybe he wouldn't be totally disappointed. Vergaelus shrugged his shoulders and finished up the rest of the fruit one by one. "Go for the 500 meter target. Typical experts could almost always hit between a 200-300 meter target..but a gifted master of the hunt always challenges themselves correct? If you miss more than three times then you'll not take part in this. Prove me wrong; Then I'll supply you with whatever needed" he spoke as he gazed at from below casually.
The bow she carried was finely made and perhaps he did need as much help as he could get in the situation. But from here on out; He didn't need himself to be anymore liable for the potential future of the nation to risk their lives dying needlessly. Scout...You view the target and record the mark, the velocity, along with any discrepancy with her posture. Never could be too sure... he whispered into the ear of the scout that prepared his scoping device as well as stood viewing the target with the sight picture of Takari. They had approximately several more hours until they needed to sortie out into battle position.
The first part of the trial was to identify the color and path in which the target was located among the mountainside. The second part was adjusting the body in a comfortable position in a short period of time to gain breath, sight depth, arch, and power behind the arrow. Lastly depending on how she followed up behind it all; Vergaelus would know whether or not she actually hit the target accurately enough to be counted as this self proclaimed expert or if she just teased him too greatly.

You are indeed correct and I only need one She stated as she drew her bow. The young Maiden would then get into stance that felt most comfortable to her before drawing and nocking and arrow. She would then take a moment to listen to the wind before adjusting her stance to what would best suit her. Once ready she would draw her bow, take a breath and set her arrow free.
The arrow would soar through the sky as it approached the target she was aiming for. She would lower her bow and close her eyes for a moment before reopening them. What Vergaelus and the scout would see is the arrow striking the target straight in the middle with great velocity that it would pierce right on through and strike the ground behind.

In just less than he actually finished the rest of his breakfast; Vergaelus locked eyes with the Scout that stood in awe and disbelief. The man quickly rose and grabbed the scoping device to see everything for himself as he slowly lowered it back down. Just who was this woman? Faladiir wasn't a name he's heard in the records and certainly he didn't know of anyone she may be connected to. Yet here she stood before him with the utmost confidence that she was indeed...gifted.
"Takari..was it? Tell me, do you have any lineage related to any of the great commanding generals of the Nordic Legion or better yet...a Faerie God or Goddess? I do not mean to doubt you any further, but it'd be a shame to not know just who we're dealing with here" he said in a slightly sporadic and attentive manner. What was it? The bow? Magic? Maybe something she possessed that the others did not. Vergaelus was both afraid and excited to have someone who bested even the hunters of the past he employed within the rebellion.
But it wasn't just him. The entire camp stood at attention and in silence as they gathered to see the aftermath of the Target. It was safe to say that the target was pretty much struck, but the impact definitely got the attention of everything; the echoes, wildlife, and all the top brass around. By his grace of the Nords; They may have themselves a legend in the making.

Takari would place her bow back across her back as she looked around at the scout, soldiers and even the generals, whom just arrive, look at her in awe. She could not help but to feel flustered for she never had this many eyes gaze upon her before. She would turn to Vergaelus as he spoke before thinking on the question he had giving her. In truth she did not truly know much about her lineage for she had never asked her parents.
In truth I do not know much of my Lineage fore I never had the chance to ask my parents. She stated, thinking back on the events that occurred in her past. I've been skilled with the bow ever since I remember and my arrows never seem to missed it's mark.. I guess you can say the gods and goddesses above gifted me with such talent

The only sound made in the camp was the voice of Takari who tried to give an explanation. In the eyes of Vergaelus; This was perhaps the most unforeseen opportunity that presented itself in this woman. If this was a gifted Hunter before them, then perhaps she was as agile, cunning, and resourceful as well. For him to not enlist her aid temporarily in this matter was utterly foolish and there certainly was no time to waste thinking about the sacrifices to be made. "No known lineage? So either your lineage lies in a forgotten idol or perhaps a cast of inheritance branched from one of the known gods. But I have no time to test you further on it. I only ask...Takari Faladiir, Are you willing to enlist in the service of the Rebellion, the prosperity of the new order to come, and faithfully lay your life on the line for the future of this country?" he stated asked in earnest and diligence in his words.
No way back from how things would go for this soon to be hunter of the forest as she more or less affiliated with the rebellion. The Empire was soon to be upon them in less than several hours and there was no need for anything trivial to become involved in war. If they succeeded here, then they were one more step closer to claim a footstep into Sylvenor's Capital. Vergaelus awaited an answer that confirmed that she knew what had to be done and if she accepted the very consequences that may take place. If she is what she claims and wishes to truly save the world she grew to cherish, then she must fight for it the man came to reason what he's known about this woman thus far. He could only offer her a chance at this moment and surely he would not come to regret it.

Hmm it may be possible that I have inherited my skills from one of the known Gods but I cannot be sure She stated before she was asked if she would enlist in the rebellion. She truly did not know what to say for she never thought she would ever give her life to something before. She took the next few moments to think of it as everyone around the camp awaited for her answer. First let me ask you a few questions before I make my decision. What does the rebellion fight for? Do you fight for peace for all or to bring war to the world? These were just simple questions she thought to ask. If the Rebellions means for fighting were just then she would lay down her life and fight for them.

In due time the truth would unravel the history of her lineage and perhaps become the light they needed to succeed without sacrificing more lives. Hope was their only chance in this situation and Vergaelus saw himself as the only person that was able to convince her to fight for their cause. The Rebellion did not just fight for politics, the economy, or for just preserving rights from the Kingdom. They rebelled against the wrongful deaths of past faerie, fought to end the discrimination between the classes of elves, and ultimately to end the conspiracy plotted within the Royal Families. The end goal was to develop the future of Sylvenor into coexisting harmony for everyone and preserving their lands from threats foreign or domestic. In the words of Takari; She too would understand this as there were many things to be discovered that they had once lost. Vergaelus responded in a serious, calm, tone saying "For Salvation. For what use is peace without harmony? Harmony cannot exist because of Hatred. Hatred is produced by Fear and Distrust. Alas, we cannot learn to harvest the beauty of nature if we cannot learn to appreciate life for what it is. If we can stop those who plant these seeds, we can stop the depravity of Sylvenor. If you believe in this and seek to fight until your last breath, then join us, Takari" the Commander spoke fully.
The rest of the army that stood in witness to this testament would gaze at Takari with the spirits of all expressing their inquiry about this situation. Sure they had all just met her today and perhaps she did have the gift of the gods; But would she be exploited because of it? Many spoke under their breath about the methods of the Kingdom and if she became Captured. There were miscellaneous rumors going around about the recently deceased, the aftermath of the latest battle, and the coincidence that Takari may become a potential commander if things went well. Vergaelus waved his hand over to the others in a gentle but solid manner as his eyes gave a sharp gaze back at the crowd. The started to become immediately silent as they waited to hear an answer and see what would become of the Rebellion now. This elf was essential to their strategy on the battlefield and he too would see her succeed if it meant the saving of many in the process. Could she hold the burden that came with failure or the inability to save everyone and everything?
"We may not be the most considerate group of people nor are in any way as strong as we may like to be, but for those who cannot fight and are bound to see no future; we'll take up arms. There is no such thing as impossible for us and with your help, we can finally see the end to these warring days" he added with a tiny smile and slowly turned back around as he motioned for the others to prepare accordingly. The time of battle was nigh and there was no time to hesitate for anyone now that everyone was frantically going to their positions 5 miles out from camp. Vergaelus too would join them once he had confirmation and was willing to brief Takari on the way to their objective.

Takari stood as she listens to Vergaelus as he spoke of their reason for fighting. They fought for salvation of those who they wish to protect. A just reason and one that Takari will get behind. She looked around at the men surrounding the camp who begun to murmur under their breaths while they waited for an answer. She turned her gaze once more on their commander before giving a slight nod. If you words speak truth then I will gladly fight for you Her words were soft yet assuring. Though I do have one condition... Some new clothing if you have any.. I do not wish to go out into battle wearing these She motioned towards her leave attire that seems to be faded from wear.

It was confirmed. Officially starting at this moment of time; the name Takari Faladiir swore herself to the life and the very cause of the Rebellion. Now a comrade in arms and someone whom he could assist with all the resources necessary; Vergaelus gave a light careless laugh at her said condition. Clothing was a vital as being prepared to go straight into battle and she realized it soon enough. "Certainly. I'll escort you over to supply and have our quartermaster lead you through our apparel" he said with a smile and motioning for her to come along with him.
"A word of caution. The quartermaster is very...fervent in her behavior and more so..let's just say imperious when it comes to her job especially new recruits who she considers special. I'm sure you'll be fine as long as you don't give her too much control in what she may suggest. Other than that, I'll see you shortly afterwards" he said giving her a set of directions and some information to note per say. He didn't want there to be too much information for her to take on the first day and sought to act as her personal guide when it came to how things functioned around here. Not many even got the chance to talk much less receive anything not business related from the Commander himself.

Thank you kindly She said as she followed him towards the quartermaster. While on the way she would glance around the camp while she listens to him speak about the quartermaster. She really did not mind the fact she was fervent nor the outfit she might pick out for her.
Noted though I will take pretty much anything she may offer She stated as she bid him goodbye before walking the rest of the way. She introduced herself to the quartermaster before giving a short description of which type of outfit she'll like. I'll take whatever is easy to maneuver in and what you find best for me
