Berri was always an adventurer, ever since she was a foal she spent her time living on the edge, going from place to place. While some might categorize her as homeless she preferred the term free spirited. It was on one of these adventures she found herself quite lost. While she knew she was located somewhere in Spring Rain, she didn't know exactly where. This was a little worrisome since she had been trying her best to get to the sleepless cave in dream valley. She had recently walked through fog meadow which had for unsurprising reasons left her quite turned around. However, the city she found herself in now seemed to be bustling with activity. She was sure she would be able to find someone to give her directions. Attempting to stop ponies as they passed she was met with no luck it seemed most everyone had places to be and little time to talk to lost strangers. This had Berri in a tizzy she did not like to be ignored. Huffing her chest she quickly stepped in front of the next pony she saw. "Hi." She said clearly standing in their way on purpose.

8-Bit wasn't one to leave his home normally, but the newest Shoot Everything was out and he wasn't going to miss it! So, as early as he could manage, he had chugged down his favorite coffee and headed to the local towns game store, picking the game up. Now, he was on his way back home, speed walking in his desperation to finally open and play his game. So, when a pony stepped in-front of him it was an understatement to say he was annoyed. Instantly, 8-Bit's mouth tightened into a scowl, head snapping back as he skidded to a stop.
"What the s**t?" He blurted, ears whipping back. "You're in the way." He blurted, although judging by her posture she knew that, meaning it was on purpose.

Berri eyed the pony in front of her. With sarcasm dripping from every word she chuckled. "Didn't you mother ever tell you not to swear in front of a lady?" Taking a quick glance behind her she snarkily replied "Yes, it would appear that I am. Well, you're thoroughly stopped now so why don't you do us both a favor and help a mare out." she held out one hoof as an offer of a truce while she remained ready to sidestep in front of him if he did, in fact, try to go around her. "I'm Berri. May I ask the name of the kind stranger who is going to help me figure out where the hell I am?" she plastered on a big smile, which surely looked as fake as it felt.

His nose crinkled at the comment of mothers. His mom hadn't raised him, how the hell would he know? Instead, he made a mental note to swear more. Especially if this mare was in the way of him and his video game, which, honestly, was a no-go.
"What." It wasn't really a question, more like a word spat out to make them truly understand how flabbergasted he really was. "First, not givin' you s**t. Second, how are you lost in Drizzletown, of all places?" Seriously. Then again, he lived here all his life.... no, he wasn't about to see any logic in this! He refused.

Berri rolled her eyes visibly at the impatient stallion. "Well if you refuse to give me your name I will call you..." She eyed him up and down. "Mr. Grumpybutt." Upon hearing the name of the town she was in it was like a lightbulb flashed in her head "DRIZZLETOWN! Of course! I had gotten quite turned around if you must know. Do you know the way to Dream Valley from here?" While she didn't expect the rude male in front of her to help her she supposed she'd have her fun with him anyway. "And where are you in such a hurry to anyway? Can't you see how beautiful it is? Or are you blind under all that hair?" She let out a giggle at that thought. Which she knew to be awful of her.

Ooooooh buddy, she was pushing it. His teeth gritted, mouth pulling back slightly into a sneer. For a second, he considered telling her Dream Valley was in a rather inappropriate location, although that'd just make her say something else, and, really, he just wanted her to stop talking at this point. He had a game - right there- to play! Couldn't she see that? The horror!
Except, she kept going, and he wasn't in the mood to play nice. Aggravated, he huffed. "I wish I was blind after meeting you." Haha, nailed it, wrecked. She wasn't getting back up from that burn. "You can get the hell away from me and towards Drizzletown there." His voice lifted, seemingly proud with his earlier response as he pointed haphazardly behind her. He wasn't evens sure if that was the right direction. It didn't even matter.

Berri laughed outright, she honestly was getting such pleasure out of annoying the poor lad. "Oh Grumpybutt, I wish you were blind as well. Clearly, you have a problem with females. What was it some poor foul break your heart? Or did you not have one, to begin with?" Realizing she was perhaps going too far, and seeing his anger growing "I will be on my way once I get the help I need. I will no longer bother you or anyone in this beautiful city of yours. Since you have pointed me in a seemingly random direction I believe you do not know where Dream Valley is at all. Walk with me until we find someone who does and I will be out of your hair. Or don't... I am, after all, having such a pleasant time talking to you Grumpybutt. We could just stand here and chat longer." Seeing the video game that she was so sure was the reason he wanted to be gone with her she only smiled wider. She wasn't one to be unnerved. She was annoying, headstrong, stubborn but she was not one to back down from a challenge and unknowingly this poor stallion had challenged her resolve.

With females? He rolled his eyes, not that she could see. He had two sisters! He was just fine! He.... supposed. Probably? He was probably fine? "Right, okay." He snorted, eyes rolling again, his trademark. "Town. It's a town." He added, voice dripping with disdain.
"What?" He gasped, leaning backwards slightly. Seriously? What the hell did he do to deserve this? This was worst than his sisters! Looking down at the bag around his neck he sputtered, snapping his head back to look at her. "Are you kidding me?" He snapped. "Why do I have to walk with you? If you're going to find someone else there's literally no point and I have somewhere to be." She wasn't serious, right? He had a game! His day all to himself was ruined! Oooooh, buddy, he was going to show her.

Berri gave a small smile, she quite liked getting under this one's skin. "Yes town, beg my pardon. I meant no disrespect to your town" She huffed out her chest a little at his comment. " because... while I am here in this town. I might as well see it you seem to be familiar with it. Besides, I don't know who to be asking, and I'd like the company finding someone who might help me. Where do you have to be? Certainly, you'd enjoy playing your game there" she nodded her head toward his bag. "Though I don't know if you could say you have to be there." Pausing a moment and letting her face soften for just a moment, hopefully too short of a period for him to notice she hoped. "Come on now Mr. Grumpybutt, one little walk with me and you'll be off to your business shortly! After all, what could a little walk possibly hurt? Don't you wish to be rid of me?"

8-Bit scowled at her, releasing a low and gruff sigh. Fine, if she wanted to be that way then he'd play along. It wasn't like he had to really try, either. Just grit his teeth, bare through it, and then be on his way. As she asked where he had to be he frowned, deciding not to give her an answer. She didn't need to know where he was going, just that he was supposed to be somewhere else! Somewhere not here!
Blah!
"You don't know if I bought a game on my way to somewhere important or not, so you can't say you don't think I have to be there." He grumbled, ears flicking back. Sighing, he rolled his eyes.
"Fine. Start walking." Why couldn't she have bumped into Pix? She would have found great company in his sister. Actually, he was sure she'd be delighted by the company, even! Where was she when he needed her?

Berri tried to suppress her smile, she knew it was rude to gloat. After all, she hadn't given the poor pony much of a choice now had she? "Well where you? On your way to something important that is? I won't be keeping you much longer. She started to walk down the street to what seemed like town square, she assumed that was where the most people would be. "Have you always lived here Grumpybutt? Or did something about this quaint little town bring you here?"

He growled faintly at her, teeth gritting at the question.
"You're annoying, I'm not going to tell you what I was going to do before you ruined my day." His ears flicked as he noted a few ponies staring at them, their heads shaking at his attitude. Damn. The next question caused a low huff as he shrugged.
"Moved here when I was young." He grunted. "I don't remember where we lived before."

Berri let out an airy laugh and a head nod at being called annoying, she knew she could be quite frustrating at times. "Well then it obviously wasn't too important, since you'd rather focus on insulting me then pleading your case. If it were terribly important I may not have stopped you, to begin with." This was, of course, a lie, a lie she used often to try to get more information out of others. "So you've lived here a while then, any friends or family?' She knew he would probably divert the question since that seemed to be his pattern of dealing with her, she didn't mind though for every question he dodged another one came up. They rounded a corner facing what looked like a busy town center, ponies were bustling around. "Oh a party? Or some sort of Fair! Surely there is someone here that can help me and get me out of your hair! She chuckled at her little ryhme proud of herself. Yushika If you want to introduce the sister here I figured this would work!

Her assumptions were making him irritated, more so than before. Plead his case? For what? Why was she so nosey. Holy hell, someone just get her TO GO AWAY! UUUURGH!
"Does this work for you? I'm not telling you my plans." He huffed, rolling his eyes. He was about to add that he also wasn't going to tell her about his family, either, but instead they rounded on a busy center. That, and he saw someone very familiar running at him.
"Oh for ******** sak-"
"Bit! There you are!" 8-Bit groaned as his sister trotted to them, her tail flicking in excitement. Pixel looked at his companion, eyes widening before a sly smile touched her features.
"Is this your girlfriend? No, wait, that would mean having to go outside! Who is this cutie?" Pixel trotted around Berri, stomping her feet playfully as she stopped to stare at 8-Bit's bag. "Oooooh, that was where you were? I told Byte! 20 bucks for me."
"Wonderful, you're here. Take this." 8-Bit jerked his head at Berri, moving to trot off. Pixel wasn't having it, immediately grabbing him by the tail and yanking him back. "What the fu-" "Introduce me!" "Creator Alicorn..... save me..... Pixel, this is.... Berri something. Berri something, this is Pixel. Kay, bye."
Now he could leave.... right?

Berri outright giggled at him, "Oh Grumpybutt. I do so love it when you play coy." She was about to say something else when a pony came up to them and addressed him as bit, she took it that was the name he had been so desperately trying to avoid telling her. She gave a sweet smile to the friendly pony, it was such a nice change to not be around someone so negative. Berri let out a small sigh after being referred to as "this." "He definitely has a problem with mares. I've done nothing but try to get directions and ask friendly normal questions, you know he wouldn't even give me his name!" She said it in the most dismayed voice she could muster. Watching her yank him back she was pretty sure at this point that she was related to him in someway. "Why i'm surprised you remembered my name at all Mr. Grumpybutt, perhaps I was growing on you after all." She winked at him before turning her mane to the female pony. "Pleasure to meet you Pixel, I'm Berri Berry. I was on my way to dream Valley and I got a bit turned around in the fog meadow. I ended up here in this lovely town, with this charming fellow who was going to help me find my way. Isn't that right? She pretty much knew that Bit was NOT going to agree with her and pawn her off on this female pony, but she had enjoyed toying with him.
