A library for you fire-slinging savages. The librarian is a rather amicable fellow, until you ruin one of his books or is caught eating in the library. At that moment, you will be swiftly injured beyond comprehension--- both physically and mentally. In the basement of the library, is where the librarian and his best friend lives. It is restricted to any other personal. The only way you get even get in is behind the librarian's desk, which is a sacred place.

XXXThe library was as quiet as ever; because of the warmer season, more and more people found the library to be lack in luster. Everyone was far more interested in playing out in the sun, rather than being stuck inside a learning facility all day. Kawa could not blame them, however, he still stuck to his tastes. Kawa could stay in this library forever if he could, but he knew that he would probably go mad being stuck inside forever, he had to be practical. But for now, Kawa allowed himself to enjoy these few minutes of solitude, reading in peace.
Today in particular, Kawa's poison was titled "Swindlers and Vultures;" a cult-classic about a modern-day city, stricken with poverty, prostitution, prohibition, and paranormal encounters. Kawa had read this book many times before, but he wished to re-read it again. A few instances, people would come to check out a book, or return something; overall, Kawa was expecting a peaceful, recluse, day. In the mist of his reading, Kawa would occasionally drift away into his own thoughts, a dangerous place to be, but he would quickly snap out of them, just so he could continue with his book.
And yet you yourself, I'm not sure why, But I still can't remember you...

Wanting to visit her friend before the day ended and discus her book she had chose to read today, her mystery book had been enjoyable so far but with so many distractions she hadn't been able to get as far as she wanted to. Drawing to the counter Hailey would clear her throat " Good day Kawa, I see you're re-reading 'Swindlers and Vultures'! I'm surprised you don't have it memorized." Hailey would tease her friend as she gave him a warm smile; she wasn't all that friendly towards a lot of people but toward Kawa and her guild master Caius, Hailey would often hold conversations, though Kawa was the one she felt she got along with the most. She leaned her hip against the counter as she spoke, the gold that decorated her hair and her cloths gleamed dully in the light of the library; complimenting her left gold eye and off setting her silver right eye while the blue complimented her deep, extremely curly, purple hair. Her clothing hugged her body, clearly showing her curvy body; Hailey was confident in how she looked and didn't care how much skin she showed, the low cut of the front would have exposed more skin if it wasn't for the gold the belt that hid some of her skin along with keeping certain parts in place. Placing a hand on the counter, the blue gem on her bracelet sparkled; it covered part of her vivid blue guild mark. Slowly turning fully to face her friend Hailey would still give Kawa a warm friendly smile " How has it been today? Busy at all or just peaceful enough for you to read?" she asked, her voice sweet quiet; different from the almost monotone/board voice she had when talking to strangers. It had taken a while for Hailey to warm up to Kawa wen she first met him but after several visits to the library and discovering their similar tastes she had warmed up enough to start some of their conversations. Bringing a hand up Hailey brushed part of her bangs out of her face, the metal rain drop shaped charms chimed against each other as she did so, the gold decor in her hair also making a chipper chime sound as her curly hair moved underneath it. XXXKawa looked up from his reading after hearing a pleasantly familiar cough. Involuntarily, the young man's lips curled into a sincere grin, as he tucked his thumb in between the pages that he had been reading. "Hello, Hailey!" He looked back down at the cover of the book, and laughed quietly, "I yearn to memorize every paragraph indent, and the quote to the paragraph number, and sentence number," he joked.
Damnably, his eyes had drifted across Hailey's body, admiring every curve and glimmer. He stopped himself however, and smiled it off, like any good friend to a beautiful woman. "It's been pretty peaceful today," the young man admitted, flipping his hair over his eye patch. "I hope all was well today, yes?" He asked, looking up at the woman, once again scanning her body, but discretely enough to hopefully not get caught. He felt absolutely terrible for admiring his own friend like this. "By the way," he said, his cheeks ever-so-slightly tinted in a soft pink, "You look wonderful today!"

She teased her friend as she gave him a warm smile, something she would rarely give anyone. Her voice was warm and friendly as she would speak to her friend and her eyes should the pleasant joy she got just from even seeing her friend. She always enjoyed hearing her friends voice along with looking at his face but she would never admit to it. Hearing that his day had been peaceful was a relief that he didn't have to deal with any big or annoy groups of people. There was sometimes groups of people who would come into a library just to disturb the peace, often those people had been drinking well before noon but there were times that those people were just disrespectful. As Kawa asked his question Hailey thought a little bit about her day and before she could answer her dear friend had began to speak again. Hailey's cheeks turned a light pink, it being noticeable because of her hair, " O--oh, Thank you! It was a little hot today..." she felt the bubbling happiness of getting a compliment come forth which flustered her a bit " I-it's not to much... Right?" she paused for only a moment as her heterochomatic eyes looked into Kawa's " Ah n--never mind, dumb question." suddenly Hailey felt subconscious about what she was wearing around her friend, it was rare that she would feel anything of the sort but then again it wasn't often she got a genuine compliment like that; and hearing it from her friend Kawa only made it better. Her voice was shy but still sweet, something uncharacteristic of her or at least a side rarely shown, Unsure how to respond to the compliment Hailey began to feel slightly awkward " Ah...M-my day was decent. The, uh, book store in town closed before I could get to it. I kinda got caught up in the socialization with other people. Some how." Hailey quickly blabbered, her face quickly turning from a light pink to a more pink-red color as she felt like she looked and sounded completely odd; she was sure she sounded fine though her slightly fidgety behavior would be a subtle sign to her awkward tendency setting in again. XXXOh dear, he did it again. In a groggy manner, following an uncomfortable snooze on his desk of books and poems, Kawa pushed himself off the desk, letting out a long and tired yawn. "Mmm, my head," the young man mumbled, slicking his hair back, blinking away any loose strands that got in his eye. That reminded him, was he still wearing his eye patch?
Quickly, the young man placed his other eye to where he kept his eye patch. Nothing. Frantically, the young man began to look around for his eye patch, his hair falling back onto his face to ensure that no one saw him uncovered. He solemnly sported his face without his eye patch, simply because what rested underneath the patch is not something that should be seen by the faint of heart.
Not even able to find his post-op secondary patch, Kawa grumbled a few regrettable words under his breath, and looked around for anything he could use to cover his face with. He found a dish towel that hadn't been used, and decided to use it as a make-shift eye patch, no matter how silly it looked. Since he was already up and this active, Kawa had decided that it would be best if he just stayed awake, rather than going back to his own bed, like anticipated.
He made his way to the bathroom, to wash his face and brush his teeth; he was too tired to shower at the moment, and promised himself to do it later on today. Besides, Kawa was getting hungry, and wasted no time in making breakfast for Hailey and himself. He was in the mood for some miso soup; maybe some miso soup with fermented beans and rice will hit the spot. Immediately, Kawa went to work on breakfast, making sure to tighten his dish cloth around his face, he didn't wish to ruin anyone's appetite with his ugliness.

gaia_angelleft Hailey Blackwell gaia_star Requip Spellbook Mage gaia_star Ace gaia_star 5th Saint gaia_star Age:21 gaia_star Current Outfit (2nd one down) gaia_angelright The day before Hailey had spent the end of it with Kawa, even past when he closed the library and after on of their book club meeting, which seemed to happen more often than what people would imagine. The two had talked about new books and old book, the correlation between characters and the running theme from an author in different books that they wrote. They compared their ideas and their favorite scenes and their dislike for specific characters. Their conversation had taken them well into the night to the point that Hailey had dozed off in the chair she had taken a seat in, during their meeting Hailey had kicked off her heels and curled up in the seat but it wasn't until her dear friend had left to do something did she fall asleep. Book in hand and curled up like a cat in the sun, Hailey had looked comfortable. Though sometime during the night when Kawa was also asleep she had removed the metal belt and hair decor in order to make her rest even more comfortable. It had gotten to late for her to leave and she didn't want to worry her friend with her sudden disappearance. She would deal with her stiffness and make sure to get a good stretch and soak when she got home. Though when that would be was a mystery to even herself, she enjoyed her company with her friend but didn't want to over stay her welcome. At some point she wold have to go home, her curly hair was a fizzy mess after being used as a pillow as the braids in her hair had come out; releasing the purple animal attached to Hailey's head. As morning came she would being to stir, slowly sitting up from her curled position she would stretch as she would attempt to get out of the chair, everything hurt from the tight curled position she was in as she put the book she had in her hand down on the table next to her. Fixing her clothing first Hailey would then attempt to tame the wild beast with her fingers; she didn't dare return the head decor she had to her head in fear that the purple frizz monster would engulf the thing and cause her pain when she would take it out later. Instead she would just put her belt back on and wrap her head decor around her neck, giving her shoulders more sparkle than needed. Her heterochromatic eyes would gaze around the room to find her friend but he was no where to be found, instead she began to smell a light scent that would make her very hungry. Still groggy and still stiff Hailey would make her way to the kitchen where she would find Kawa cooking away " Good morning Kawa." Hailey would speak softly as she attempted to hide a yawn with her hand, that soon leading into a stretch to try and relieve her tense joints from their locked position. " I didn't mean to fall asleep on you, I guess I got comfortable." her voice was sweet and quiet, obvious signs that she had just woken up. " I'm sorry about that, I hope it didn't bother you." Hailey had fallen asleep a few times while visiting Kawa, though it was never out of boredom; usually Hailey had gotten back from a long mission and had just passed out from sheer exhaustion. This time Hailey had just gotten way to comfortable in the chair she was in and had fallen asleep due to how late it was. Rubbing one of her eyes Hailey would lean against the door frame but in such a way she would still be out of the way if Kawa needed to pass her " What are you making? It smells wonderful." Hailey would speak as her voice would soon start to return to it's normal quiet but happy tone. OOC:
