████ BACKSTORY
██████ ▻ Bruce was an unruly, stubborn, and temperamental child from the beginning. In school he was known for his short fuse around bullies and was quick to start fights, his punishments being far more severe than was merited. Despite always sticking up for the weaker of his classmates, they would avoid him out of fear. The Waynes tried many forms of the best treatments available for their son's temperament but Bruce resisted all treatments. To their dismay, the only authority figures that Bruce would listen to were themselves and occasionally, their butler, Alfred.
After the horrific death of Bruce's parents at the age of nine, Alfred was the only family that Bruce had left. Despite Alfred's best efforts, Bruce got worse and had to be home-schooled. Bruce lost all interest in anything that was normal at his age, such as friends, parties, games, fun... Alfred tried to get him into counseling once more but Bruce resisted treatment stronger than ever, refusing to be 'parented' by strangers. He had seen too much too soon and his innocence too far gone to be salvaged.
Wanting only what was best for Bruce, Alfred catered to him and his interests. Bruce excelled in his education, learning mathematics, science, philosophy, language and mixed martial arts (in hopes to find a positive way to channel his aggression).
The only thing that was normal about his upbringing was a rebellious stage in his teens. He ran away from home, refusing to take the company like his father wanted him to, and living on the streets for a few years. It was there that he saw how truly sick the city of Gothem truly was. He began to loath the wealthy for the corruption and knew that something had to be done to help the victims of Gothem.
When he returned home, he did so with resolve. Bruce would take his father's company and use its force to better the city of Gothem. It didn't take long for him to realize that it was not Gothem's high society that made Gothem sick, but the wealthy crime lords that corrupted the weaker citizens and ran the city with invisible puppet strings. In order to help his city, he had to take it upon himself to right these wrongs. He had the skills, he had the brains, and he had the means to do so... so, he became Batman.
