They would still attend a lot of the lessons. Since they need to understand all the theoretical and implications. Plus it will make teaching them easier if they get them to chew firestone later. Once the lessons are just about practicing rather than learning anything new, it's a bit up in the air. With a gold Weyrling they usually would start basically going and shadowing the Weyrwoman. Obviously since there's five of them and no Weyrwoman that gets tricky. Most likely they will end up with Sh'shi assigning each Weyrling something to study which she feels they're lacking. If they aren't lacking anything then they'd probably get given free time or told to practice their flying.

So Bastion class turn 10 months on the 17th of this month. That means that this month any lessons from month 9 or 10 of the weyrling schedule can be requested. Quote: Month 9Weyrlings will go between alone, using a visual of their own making, for the first time. This is done as a series of one on one lessons with either the Weyrlingmaster or a senior Weyrlingmaster Assistance. The lessons are taken at the pace of the weyrlings and there is no stigma attached to weyrlings failing to jump in their first lesson, any sign of hesitation from the pair will lead their supervising dragon to stopping them from jumping. Lessons start with determined jumps from one clearly visualised location to another and then work to the reactionary jumps so that the dragon can confidently jump between and reappear in the same location. Quote: Month 10 This month riders will begin self defence training. It is not encouraged for dragonriders to fight, but it is not impossible that it will happen and so they will be trained in both bare-hand and armed defence. This session will also cover the rules surrounding duelling. In this month, assuming they have the go ahead from the Weyrlingmaster, pairs will begin to flame whilst flying. This will be done solo, as the pair learn to adjust to provide firestone, aiming and controlling flame, whilst accounting for being in the air.

Quote: Month 18 Dragons are between approximately 85 and 100 percent of their adult size Large dragons sleep 11 hours a day and eat once every two days This month weyrlings are assessed for a second time to mark their improvement. Once again they will have an individual meeting with the Weyrlingmaster to discuss their progress and future plans. They will also discuss what kind of rider the weyrlings wish to tail. A weyrling is free to suggest riders by name, but are advised to suggest riders that align with their career goals. Similarly, this is the time full riders should make their desire for a tail known, with their Wingleader’s permission. They may request a particular weyrling. The final decision of assignments however will be the Weyrlingmaster’s and they are unlikely to select assignments where the pair have a personal affiliation or the full rider’s role in the Weyr does not reflect the weyrlings career aspirations. At the end of the month the weyrlings are given their assignments. Their daily schedule becomes based entirely around that rider’s duties, although they are still required to report to the Weyrlingmaster once a sevenday. A tailing weyrling must report to their assigned rider and will shadow them for the next six months. This arrangement is to help the weyrling gain experience. A tail is not there to be a grunt for the rider. Although there is usually some playful assigning of the less pleasant wing jobs for a weyrling, they cannot be made to do jobs that would not usually be given to a standard wingrider. So you couldn't order your tail to wash your dragon for you or get you klah. Having a tail is not seen as a privilege and many riders do not volunteer to take on a tail. The purpose of this arrangement is to give the weyrlings hands on experience of the day to day runnings of a wing, whilst having an individual point of reference to explain and assist them. The rider that the weyrling tails for will regularly report to the Weyrlingmaster with their progress. Bastion Class, it's time for tailing! This is a good opportunity to pair your weyrling up with an full rider and play all sorts of shenanigans. We just thought this prompt was worth a reminder. Have fun biggrin

V' is looking for somebody to tail - she's an ambitious so if possible she'd like to shadow a wingleader or second, and she's not shy about asking around!
EDIT: V' is going to tail D'io!

If anyone's still looking for an adult rider to tail I can offer Ilharen and white Cimarath, or V'lon and blue Mirath.
Ilharen spends a lot of time scouting and visiting Holds; V'lon is a wingsecond and so spends a lot of time helping with the organisation of his wing.

I've got T'layo, one of the Wingseconds. She's socially awkward but tries her best by the wing. I think she'd volunteer because it's outside her comfort zone, and is in the best interest of the Weyr. Weyrlings are the Weyr's future and all. :3
