Personality ▶ Laura is a straight forward person, she does anything for her goal and will kill anyone whom tries to prevent that, she pretends to be the Dreaded Pirate Roberts and because of how long she's had to pretend she is able to convince people, but she often doesn't straight up name herself the pirate when she is in towns because it attracts attention from just name alone. she prefers working alone and often does things alone. She doesn't have too many friends rather she considers them allies more than anything. Hunting is what keeps her motivated to keep living as a pirate as it keeps her mentality stable every time she hunts. when t comes to typical small talk she is open to that and will joke abit around acting like the captain of the ship.

The Legend of The Dreaded Pirate Roberts
Long ago, a man named Eugene Roberts was born and raised as a human being, the race of his own kind. This man was nothing but normal, a typical lower species human that was deemed weaker than most races, yet that didn't stop this man, he aimed to travel the world, find new things and of course make profits. As the man lived his life he would fine his way to becoming a bandit.
the man stumbled upon what the world claimed as Fairies, This man as devious and cunning as he was aimed to rob the fairy's to grant himself gold and other sources of wealth, but what he found was a cursed, to be laid upon him. As the legend goes, the curse was a burden made for a greedy man, Roberts could live forever, to no end living his life of greed to the fullest, yet he must sacrifice someone he cares for, every time he wanted to live another lifetime he would need anew sacrifice. Thus his life of greed would continue for the ages. Thousands of years would pass, and soon a name would arise as the Pirate Roberts, more time passed and soon the seas were feared by a man whom seemed to be immortal by many humans. Eventually as technology developed the Skies would become the new fear for many whom traveled it.
Laura Marshal
Born in the snow lands, far away from any human civilization, a girl was born, she was raised by her two parents, whom were big game hunters, each were Masters with their own skill of making Runes, which Laura would learn from. Her father was good with making weapons and adding rune effects to them, thus making his own personal weapon for each of them. Laura began with a air based weapon thus allowing her to learn to use a gun. Over time she grew with age, and with age came sadness and other emotions, as her parents passed away one night during a hunt and she wa sleft to her own life, Much like her parents she followed in their footsteps. She ended up taking her fathers signature weapon as her own, Because of this time alone she honed her skills with using the gun and developing rune bullets which she used often for her hunts.
The Arrival of the unexpected Cursed man
The white snow, a blizzard, the typical weather for her home, and the perfect weather to hunt. As she was hunting she was invisible, which was the desired effect. A black beast which was partially white from the blizzard effect was walking through the forest leaving no traces of its footprints to be left after it took steps. The beast stopped moving and began to look around, it had sensed something around yet it couldn't see, Within seconds the beast would let out a roar of some kind before it would stumble into a tree, as it was stumbling a figure walked out from the shadows beyond the blizzard, she was holding a gun in her hands, she kept her distance but would raise her gun and aim it at the head of the beast, The sound was completely muted as a flash happened from the gun occurred, having the beast fall to the ground. Approaching the beast she would fire her gun once ore into the head to ensure it was dead. Her eyes were at the beast but would look at a shadow that was making its way around the area she was at. When she looked up she would find a strange ship lowering itself above her, which seemed to be off setting where the blizzard was hitting. From the ship was ropes falling down followed by men holding guns and swords. Outnumbered Laura would put her gun over her shoulder with the strap and raise her hands in knowledge of surrendering and not fighting back. The men would take her and would bring her upon the ship, those that remained off the ship began to strap the beast to the ropes so they could use the beast for food. On the ship she would be brought inside and to be pushed down to face a bearded man. one of the crew members gave the man the gun which he would inspect before looking at the girl. He would speak about how impressed he was in the fact she killed a beast of the size with that gun only, as it would take his crew multiple weapons to bring it down. He also began to introduce himself by welcoming her to the Golden Whale which she knew the name from her parents fairy tales, the ship that the 'immortal' pirate captained. she would begin to question this logic of him being immortal only to be told the tale of how his cursed worked, how he grew older but he could switch his mind and soul into another vessel. After enough conversing between the two of them he would stand up and hold out her gun to her offering her a deal, she could either join the crew as their hunter and sharpshooter and possibly become a new vessel in the future if she proves useful or she could try and fight her way out of the ship and die doing so. Without much choice she accepted his offer with a small condition, being that if she found the ultimate creature to hunt and that she'd be allowed to kill it alone for her ultimate trophy.
The Curse Continued
9 years had passed, Laura was more than just a crew mate, due to her ability to hunt and how much she saved the crew from devistation she soon rose in ranks to become the second command, she even was given a cabin of her own up in the lookout. It was all calm in the skys and with the captain falling ill, the crew was simply waiting whom he would call to use as a new vessel for himself. IT would be during one of the nights that they were flying over a city when Laura was called to the captains quarters, he summoned her to talk alone, most likely she was chosen to be used. Once she got inside she was told to lock the door and to approach him, to which he was bed ridden. Laura asked if she was going to be the one he would be using to relive again, to which the man laughed. He told her no, and began to explain the truth behind the curse. He explained how the curse was indeed real, but the real Dread pirate roberts, died long ago from his own grief, he had taken the lives of many people under him that he no longer could sleep or even do anything because he felt terrible for killing his close allies. So much he had finally decided to rid himself of the curse by letting himself die. This was an interesting turn, to learn that the legend was of course true but that it no longer existed, Te man explained his real name was Johnathan Roger, a former pirate from the crew long before she was there. Laura was confused, why tell her this, why change his name, these questions were the first words to escape her mouth. The man sighed only to tell her the reasoning why, he explained that The idea derived from the original Pirate Roberts, the one that had the cursed, Before he passed away for good he had brought in his second in command, the one he trusted more than anything, and wouldn't sacrifice for his own gain, that he was done killing his friends. Being they were close the second in command would be offered a request, to become the new Pirate Roberts, To make his lore live on to keep his name throughout the seas. The man would chuckle as he told the story, as he explained the second mate accepted the deal becoming the new Dreaded pirate, and soon he would do the same with the next captain, then so on and so forth. Every generation just kept the same legend alive. HE had explained to her that it was about a few thousand years after the real one died that they found a reasoning behind this continuing lie. Laura would learn that, it was because they were human, Humans are deemed the weakest creatures in the entire world, dragons, elves, werebeasts, vampires, and even now mages were all gods compared to humans and the world needed a balance. Governments and races were afraid of the seas and the air because of this legend, a man..a human alive to haunt the seas and air terrifying trade and such that it kept balance and showed that humans had potential to become equals. upon finishing the man would begin to cough up some blood. he was getting ready to die at this point. he the asked Laura to continue this legend for him, and would proceed to show her where to find the information about everything every captain had kept written, in the captains log. Laura would accept the offer and would send off the previous captain off in his sleep, giving him the painless death. After doing so, she would grab her gun from her back and walk outside of the quarters and see every one of the crew members was sitting and standing around looking at the doorway that she now stood, wondering if their captain was still alive or if he used her vessel to live on. Laura would raise her gun to form a T pose with her arm and gun saying these simple words "May the soul of this vessel find peace in the afterlife" She would yell out simply before hearing the roars of the crew cheering for their captains rebirth. one of the crew members spoke up and asked why he chose a young girl as the vessel, she simply responded with the idea that with the world still after the dreaded pirate they will never suspect a human woman to be a vessel after so many years as a male, making it easy to bypass most places unsuspected, That and she was perhaps the most deadliest person on the ship and with her skills, he could protect his crew.
