She goes back to work grinding it and lets it alone, which it seems to appreciate again. The salve is done in a lot faster time now that she got the better rock. She applies it to the pangolin, who squeaks at first rapidly, and then eases into a comfortable sleep, since it already knew what it was she was doing. Fowl awakens to sun on her face in the middle of home. She doesn't see the pangolin anywhere and concludes the entire journey was a dream. She blinks in confusion and then looks around, embarrassed and glad none of her friends were around. She'll enjoy telling them what it was she dreamed about though - the pangolin was so cute.
