Hi, I'm new here and this seemed like the place to ask. I have this 40k rp on another site and there was a few questions.

1. How effective our rejuvenation therapies?
I know rejuvinat therapies can keep the mid and upper classes for centuries but for how long exactly? 200? 500? Maybe even baring a 1000 years?

2. What exactly can and cannot go into the immaterium?
I know the gist. Only those with souls can travel the warp. However I remember a story where an inquisitor found a Necron destroyer waking up after the space hulk it was in arrived to real space from the warp. How exactly can go into the warp and what cannot?

3. Could xeno technology be potentially corrupted by chaos?
In particular, the Tau's? Could warpsmiths corrupt it as easily as Imperial machine spirits? Would it took more effort seeing as the Tau AI is a lot more complex then basically any other's.

Thanks again and I hope I'm not causing too much of a bother.

Welcome to the guild, and no bother at all!

On my way out the door, but I can speak a little to that last one. Yes, Xenos can become tainted by Chaos, but humans are most susceptible. Some alien races worshipped the Dark Gods in some form or another and were exterminated in the Great Crusade (30k books). More recently, the Eisenhorn books mention an alien race and whole planet corrupted by the power of a single artifact. Good read!

Ah yes the Laer. The race that led Fulgrim down his cursed path. Thanks for the information.

I can only really answer on this one. It really depends on the skills of the chirurgeons / adepts and how advanced the world is that the procedure takes place on. While juvenat can extend ones life, it's not something that can be done repeatedly, it will over time lose its effect and can only prolong ones life for so long. 200+ years is certainly attainable, 1000 years was until recently unheard of outside of the Space Marines, but it is out there.

Thank you. I've just been confused with inquisitors that seem to be alive for 500 years or more.

Some are just that good at surviving, others hail from eras of the Imperium where conflict was not as common as it is now.

Personally I would treat any regular mortal over 500 years old as a rarity and exception rather than rule.

So assuming an inquisitor acquires a successful rejuvinat therapy that gives him say 300 years more of his life and manages to survive everything the universe throws at him, could he use his psyker abilities to extend his life?

Most inquisitors are psykers and I know psyker powers vary but could one extend their natural lifespan with their warp-based abilities?

Perhaps if the user is a powerful biomancer it could be possible, but there's also always the idea that such a method may lead to heresy. xd

I see more puritan members of the inquisition not being fans of it, yeah.

Heresy? There is no heresy here. You are mistaken.
