The file with all the kill teams to date can be found here: https://www.games-workshop.com/resources/PDF/ShadowWar/SWA_Killteams_ENG.pdf

Contents are:
* Chaos Space Marines
* Dark Eldar Wych Cult
* Craftworld Eldar
* Genestealer Cult Hybrids
* Grey Knights
* Harlequin Troupe
* Necrons
* Skitarii Rangers
* Tau Pathfinders
* Tyranid Warriors

Rules for the creation of a Space Marine Scout kill team, Imperial Guard veteran kill team and Ork kill team are as of typing this only available in the core rules, which will go on general sale next week, though will soon arrive in digital form as well. Or be leaked onto the internet by some kind soul. ninja

The only restrictions we know of as of right now are that each team has up to 1000pts to spend on models and upgrades and that each kill team comes with its own rules and restrictions (where applicable) and can be found in the document. The special operatives listed with each team entry are unavailable during creation of the team and can be deployed after having played a few games and earning the currency ("promethium caches" ) needed to unlock them.

Seeing as the Imperial Guard, my first choice, is still unknown at this point, I've decided to go with the Skitarii Rangers as my backup plan, should what I have in mind not be possible. So, lets get shooty with a little bit of melee thrown in for fun.

Skitarii Executive Element Theta // Epsilon // Mhu 87 - 1000 pts

Skitarii Ranger Alpha - Arc pistol, arc maul (230 pts)

Skitarii Ranger - Galvanic rifle (115 pts)
Skitarii Ranger - Galvanic rifle (115 pts)
Skitarii Ranger - Galvanic rifle (115 pts)

Skitarii Specialist - Transuranic arquebus (270 pts)
Skitarii Specialist - Plasma caliver (155 pts)

And with the Imperial Guard list leaked, here's a stab at them, making them as close to Tempestus Scions as possible with what they have on hand:

41st Omega Banshees - Kill Team Rayet - 1000 pts

Veteran Sergeant Rayet - carapace armour, power sword, bolt pistol (215 pts)

Veteran Natalya - carapace armour, lasgun, hotshot powerpack, red-dot laser sight (140 pts)
Veteran Narkiss - carapace armour, lasgun, hotshot powerpack, red-dot laser sight (140 pts)
Veteran Yulia - carapace armour, lasgun, hotshot powerpack, red-dot laser sight (140 pts)
Veteran Aleksandra - carapace armour, shotgun, laspistol, chainsword (160 pts)

Weapons specialist Anna - carapace armour, plasma gun, laspistol, red-dot laser sight (205 pts)

You might need a few rookies in there as well! Though I haven't seen the guard list yet.

Doesn't really fit in with what I want to use model-wise for this list, but I will be expanding the team over time as they get more games in. Which is also an excellent excuse to get another box of Scions and convert them to hold stuff like sniper rifles and the like.

Well, I picked up my copy of the game yesterday and looked over the rules. It looks fun! So, now I've got a list made up. I have no idea if it'll ever see the light of day (still got the problems with the game club...) but this gives me an excuse to actually do something with miniatures. Kind of wish I had a larger force, but Necrons are danged expensive in points-costs... sweatdrop

I wrote a short story a while ago, explaining why my Necron army was going to be joining an Escalation League, but then I got a new job and there went all my free time! Necromunda SW:A seems like a good place to carry over the concept, so here I am. A Phaeron emerged from the Long Sleep with his mind broken by the final battle of antiquity and the ages spent fully conscious in his crypt, and his Vargard currently has him sedated and immobile in the Tomb. The Vargard's charged one of the Lords with going out into the galaxy at the head of numerous war-cells with the express goal of finding a cure for the madness. They're poking under rocks, in rival tomb worlds, in the hearts of Craftworlds, and even inside those caches of Promethium on the odd chance that they contain some archeaotech that'll restore their master - and, hopefully, the dynasty - to its former glory.

Certain factions will struggle more than others when it comes to how many models they can field, especially in campaigns it may be more prudent to take more of the cheaper or lesser equipped models over a few over-equipped models.

I've got one game under the belt so far, though having my opponent bottle out at the start of his first turn makes me wonder how much of a game it really was..

I ended up bringing along a Skitarii team, geared completely towards ranged over melee:

Ranger Alpha - Galvanic rifle & omnispex
Ranger - Galvanic rifle
Fresh-forged - Radium carbine
Fresh-forged - Radium carbine
Specialist - Plasma caliver
Specialist - Transuranic arquebus & red-dot laser sight

All I can say is that the omnispex, especially when geared with an already upgraded Transuranic arquebus (BS5 before modifiers!), is a filthy piece of kit. Bit costly, but so worth it. It also helped that my opponent was low on numbers (five models) so downing two of his models on the first turn and forcing that bottle check was certainly the way to go.

Only thing missing now is more terrain. This game really needs two-thirds of the table to be covered in terrain or at the very least heavy scatter to really come into its own.
