Nicole looked around as she walked inside, looking around at the club as it didnt seem like the kind of place she would stay at. She ended up with a cold and uneasy chill down her spine when he spoke into her ear. She wasnt an introvert but she hated her space being invaded like that. She looked around seeing that those that seemed to have been here longer were just hanging around while those new seemed to be dancing. She decided quickly that trying to dance made no sense so she walked over to the bar, trying to actract as little attention to herself as she sat towards one end if the bar. She noticed that Sam was the bar tender and wasnt the least bit surprised but thought it over, "Do you have any bottle soda that isnt opened?" She asked plainly, not feeling like she wanted to be drugged tonight.

Sam started serving drinks, and it seemed when he walked in and started his shift, the club was a bit more lively. Obviously more ladies came up to the bar now that mr ladies man was here. With out looking up he slid a unopened can of soda down to Nicole. "There you go princess." He said and continued on getting other drinks, his tips seemed to get better each drink that was ordered. Glancing around to see if any trouble was gone he looked back down and served another drink. "Don't think about it man she ain't interested, or she might make you a woman if ya catch my drift." He said as a guy was approaching Nicole from behind. "You should be more observant sweetheart." With his last sentence it was made clear that Sam didn't have a typical 'American accent' he voice sounded more like an old New York accent the accent coming out more when he said sweetheart ((When is the blackmail part gonna come in just curious?"

Nicole was annoued by how he had called her princess but she opened the can and took a drink, and when setting it down she covered the top with her palm. When the guy had started to approach and Sam warned the dude which she was thankful he did but she scoffed a bit, "Really, do you talk to all women you meet like this?" She asked being called pet names like princess or sweetheart, it felt demeaning. She was sitting at the bar not really socializing and after some time, she felt like she had spent enough time around so she got up, noticing that Sam wasnt around, he put the can behind the bar where she could reach with the money and tip for it. She then headed outthe exited but noticed the main way was blocked, or at least had some shady looking guys so she went the other way. Traveling down the alley, she soon hid behind a trash can seeing Sam up ahead. He had a few mean around him and was confused but she watched and soon pulled her phone out, secretly recording what was going on in this back alley.

"Yes actually thats how i talk to most women." he said before taking other drink orders. After a little while Sam had left but not before making sure her drink was safe from other men. Sam had walked out the back door to go deal with a sort of personal problem. Here in the city nothing was normal, not as in there are weird people but there are weird non-human people that mainly come out at night to do business, Sam's bar was a hot spot for this. Sam found himself circled by some men they seemed big a buff to a human but Sam stood there arms cross and shook his head looking at the ground. "Come on now guys, do you really wanna do this cause i don't think ya do." he said as he cracked his knuckles and neck, he looked up from the ground his eye almost completely black except for a thin red circle in the middle of them, black vein like things seemed to crawl up from his hands and to his arms and some could be seen on his neck peaking from under the collar of his shirt. "Still wanna do this?" he had what seemed liked 2 k9 teeth on both sides of his mouth but only on the top row of teeth. Sam's well kept secret was he wasnt human and he could change into something much more than this, it wasn't long till one of the men decided to hit first, which Sam dodged with inhuman speed, some of these men were human and some were not. It was easy to spot which werent human as they were the only ones to actually land a few hits on Sam. 10-20 minutes passed till they finally decided to flee, Sam watched as they helped each other up bloody, broken and bruised and made a run for it. He know slowly changed back to the human he let people think he was, before spitting out some blood from his mouth and making his way back inside.

Nicole remained behind her cover as she peaked out, watching as the men circled him but as he then began to speak to them, she made sure her phone had a clear view as he did something to shock her. She could only watch as he changed and seemed demonish or just a bit monsterous. She kept checking the video shot as she watched him fight, she couldnt believe what she was seeing as he single handed faced off against multiple men. When he finished and headed back inside after turning back to normal, she remained hidden till she knew he was gone as well as the others. She quickly rushed home and got into her house, locking the doors as she rushed to her computer and grabbed two old flash drives and made some back ups of the video, hiding them in different spots. She cleaned up and watched the video again, and again, trying to wrap her mind around what happened. She tried getting some sleep but the next day at school, she arrived at the same time, which she soon found him, she had to have answers so she walked up to him, "Hey, we need to talk!" She said as she dragged him somewhere away from everyone else, "What are you?" She asked trying to be suttle but she had to ask.

That night Sam had closed the bar up pretty late and had only gotten a few hours of sleep when he got home. The next day at school he wasn't with his usual group of friends but standing off to the side of some people mindnig his own business till he heard a familiar voice and then was dragged away from the people. Stumbling a little he looked down Nicole, "What in gods name do you mean 'what am i'." he said in a tired voice he noticed some people heading to class as he looked down at his watch. "I don't have time for this i need to get to class, i actually care about my grades if you can believe that." he said as he lightly pushed her to the side and started making his way back to class, acting as if she was a little crazy for asking him a question like that.

She could see him sway as he seemed to just seem a bit unphased but she looked at him as he pushed by her but before he got too far, "We have eight minutes till class starts, hey, thats eight minutes for me to upload this video of you changing to something that looks demonish and kicking the s**t out of several men, cause im sure their are plenty of other people on the internet who would have answers... thats what i mean by 'what are you'." She said playing the video on her phone for him to see, "And dont think about destroying my phone either, i have back ups... but i wont upload it if you care to explain." She stated seriously.

Sam ignored her for the most part till she mentioned last night, he whipped around and looked at her with a night jaw and looked at her phone, his walk was fast now as he came towards her. He grabbed her phone and placed a hand over her mouth "You shouldn't be poking around where you shouldn't be." He was about to crush her phone when she mentioned she had copies. "Why do you want to know, what do you gain from this huh? You wanna die is that it, if you know you'll have a death wish hanging over your pretty little human head." he took his hand off her mouth and dropped her phone he took a few steps away from her and stared to pace back and forth.He stopped walking and turned his face to her, his eyes the same as they were in the video. "Im not safe, im not kind, im not someone to threaten."

Nicole winced as her mouth was covered and her phone was taken but when he stepped away, she retrieved her phone and looked at him, "I want answers... what the heck happened out there..." she whispered but seeing that his eyes changed, she looked at him, "First off you wont be able to kill me, one of those backups gets shipped out by a friend if he doesnt hear from me." She said, "And no, he doesnt know, its sealed but it would be foolish to think you could silence me like that." She said but then thought it over, "Dont think of this the wrong way but its nice that i have this now... heres the deal, you will get all copies of the vid to destroy and delete, if you pretend to be my boyfriend..." she stated her demands, "I dont want public affection or anything like that, i want the other guys to leave me the hell alone till graduation..." she stated firmly, giving her demands.

Sam clenched his fists as she spoke, she seemed to think of everything. "You want be to pretend to be your boyfriend." he walked back over to her getting rather close. "Now how will anyone believe im your boyfriend we don't show any public displays of affection." his words were slow and long, like he was making his own deal, but he did have a point with his words. "And what happens if you actually get feelings for me and iv gotta break your poor little heart." his eyes didnt change they stayed the same till someone call his name and almost instantly they changed and he stepped back and starting walking away but not with out muttering "Deal."

She saw that he got close to speak, "Trust me, you just have to tell other guys to back off, then we hold hands now and then and do other minor things... and please, dont be full of yourself, i already dont like you... you should be happy with this deal, how many girls you could rope in after its done where they want what they cant have." She said meaning that since girls already want to be with him that have a taken status would make him like forbidden fruit that they would want to get there hands on. She saw his eyes go back to normal, but she filed in behind him as she then went and roped her arm with his to walk into the class room, why not make the class spread the rumor. When they got into the class though she sat down at her normal seat and got her things out to take down notes, thinking of the rest of her plan to basically use him as a shield to get the perverted and hormone driven guys off her back till she graduated.

Sam's body tensed up her comments, she ever think he was single for a reason, that he liked just worrying about himself. His body didn't relax till they got to class and she unhooked her arms from his, he however didn't sit in his usual spot, he sat in the back in the corner, he tried paying attention during class pinching the bridge of his nose a little. This girl had no idea what she got herself into with him, sure she had blackmail but who would believe its real...right? No one bit people like him, and there was a law about being seen by humans who didnt work for nonhumans, and you break that law you're dead both you and the human who saw you. He heard the whispers of the class as he was pretty sure everyone saw him walk threw the door with her, and her arms hooked in his. He caught a few glances over at him but tried to brush it off.

Nicole was not caring if any of the rumors tried to put her in a negative light, she just was reassured that she could hopefully get to graduation without dealing with annoying guys who would try to hit on her. She figured if anything, she would be able to at least keep him to make the guys back off from her. She would look at him now and then, seeing that he seemed to be uncomfortable or in thought about something but she didnt really care as she went back to taking notes.

When the lecture was over and class was dismissed, Sam seemed to be the first out the door, but waited by it outside, he did not need her yaping in his ear about walking together to each class and such. He was not a happy camper and did not think he was going to be through out this. His group of friends looked at him like 'come on dude' Sam waved them on as he waited for Nicole, he felt like this school year was going to be a rough one now, no more smooth sailing for him
