Seems like more Jewish mysticism. I'm reading the Old Testament right now so my opinions of Jewish and Christian practices are skewed at the moment.

I'm beginning the Books of Enoch and evidence suggests that the Essenes used 1 Enoch as a teaching tool. I'll be sure to comment if anything else relevant jumps out.
