Hi there. In ATA on March 7th, I wrote the following post which Lanzer responded to:
"Lanzer recently announced a new account setting for favorites. In the staff announcement he said, "This is a privacy setting that will make all favorites of your avatars not show up in public. Only the individual who favorited your avatar can view it. The decision to not completely disable the feature outright was made because any user can save the graphic of any avatar image, and to force users to go back to saving images manually just doesn't make sense." However, it seems it is still possible to delete one's avatar from the favorites of other people, not just hide them from public view, albeit not through using the new account setting. This just doesn't make sense. If you don't think it makes sense to make us manually save stuff again, then it shouldn't be possible to delete avatars from other people's favorites. If you are going to allow the deletion of avatars from other people's favorites, then what is the point of not allowing the account settings to just prevent favoriting in the first place? Deletion can accomplish the same thing, just slower. Why, Lanzer? What is up with this combination of the setting you went with and the reasoning behind it and keeping deletion of other people's favorites around still?"
Lanzer's response was, "Hmm, that wasn't supposed to happen. I'll need to check on the code as I thought I've updated the setting after releasing the option. Will get back to you on this one."
I realize Lanzer may simply have been too busy to get back to this subject. I just figured I would check in on it though in case. There was nothing about it in Lanzer's posts in the last ATA and this hasn't been fixed yet. What kind of punishments would you suggest? People who are obviously trolling can get warnings and possible bans. Depending on the content, behavior, and other factors sometimes it goes right to a ban instead of warning.

This was the original plan, we had to stop work on that part of the plan when we were having issues with site outages with the feature. Now that it's more stable we can look at this project again and see if it can be squeezed in.

Hi so on the deal page the St Paddy's day bundle is listed as having 20 hours left as of me typing this. However when clicking the link for it, it says that the item doesn't exist or has been removed. I purchased GC to buy one of these bundles I've tried several times to buy it over the last 24 hours and it's still like that. (I first noticed when it had about 43 hours left.)
Is the deals page wrong or were the items removed from the cash shop too early? If they were removed to early can more time be added to the deal upon putting them back? Thank you.

We have a pretty big site event coming up, it'll affect EVERYTHING. That's all I can say for now.
For zOMG I'm trying to bring back the Easter event. Still looking for help in working on issues related to quests.

That's unlikely, for we'll need to plan out some new animation and stuff. Still need to figure out how we'll give out integrity and abuse rings.
[Platonix note: there is actually already a use for the ??? Ring, and has been for many years. It can be transformed into a Fitness Ring. Given that it's an Equip item, I don't recall offhand how you do it, though. sad ]

I've considered it but ultimately I don't want Gaia to get into a situation that I've seen other community sites get into recently where they don't want to perma-ban people, and then the users who aren't get perma-banned just end up harassing users even more and have access to more account to do so.

So, yesterday, I discovered that after hours of playing zOmg, I lost almost 800m. I did not purchase anything. I'm trying to reproduce the issue today, and checking my gold after everything I do. Perhaps it's a glitch with having trillions of gold?
I posted about it in bugs forum last night.
Side note, some quests are only paying out 10g, like the repeatable drums quest in Zen Garden.

Gold count inside the game is still broken. I'm asking Halzy to fix it.

Is anyone working on fixing what happened with the labu labu festival, where several achievements were not granted to users that paid the full gold amount? The event was suddenly the event was taken down for repairs and brought back up.
After the event a thread was created for users to post if they still had not received their achievement.. Is anyone still working to fix this? Several users are still wondering the same thing.

I'd love to assemble a task force of mods that deal exclusively with flash spaces, the problem I have right now is that we have very few mods on the team, and an even smaller number of users interested in being a mod. :c

We're actually constantly accepting applications, it's just that the number of people applying is very low. We're looking at accepting a few people shortly.

Interested users don't always meet the guidelines to be a mod though. :c Like, it's legitimately something that people are interested in, but can't really shoot for, since there's certain requirements. Not talking about the age one, but more the reporting content one.
One could make the argument that if you're not reporting content (100 reports in six months is 1.8 reports a day), are you interested in helping moderate for the right reasons and help the community?

Now that zOMG! is back are you guys considering updating/retexturing it?
No solid plans yet, I'm looking into bringing back the easter event, and as I learn more I might be able to do things such as add new zones and quests, though none of these are solid as I don't know how feasible they are. Being able to find help dedicated to working on these things is one of my focus right now.

I don't suppose you guys could hire back Panagrammic and Gracewar7 so we could get Heralds of Chaos back with all the awesome updates they had planned before the previous management shut it down?
Unfortunately HoC won't be getting any updates. I can probably help fix a few bugs but that game requires a lot of work to add new features. It'll need both flash animators and programmers outside of Panagrammic to make that happen.

Ok...I've made a stink about this on and off and each time we are told that its being looked into and then nothing. No updates...nothing while you push out other things.
This bug I'm speaking of is the thrid party ads that are still showing up even if we have spent the right amount of gaia cash to disable the ads.
Please the ads are lagging out the site...this needs to be fixed.

This is being worked on indirectly. We are working on integrating new payment systems behind the scenes as well as changing over our Ad system. We had fixed the problem and then a few weeks later we went and started integrating a different ad system so then it broke again. -_-
It may still be a week or two but once we get these two other things complete we can then go in and correct the issues with third party ads showing when they shouldn't.

Ive been having a lot of trouble with my storage, currently being at the point where I cant use it at all at the moment. The link that was added to clear it did not help me too much.
I just checked your inventory and there didn't seem to be any issues moving items around.
Remember that almost all the time, trouble with inventory is caused by plug-in or browser settings. A lot of time changing your settings or simply downloading a different browser can allow you to access your inventory and find out what is causing you trouble.

Mavdoc had made a Graveyard Pier map for Halloween that was never released. I'm pretty sure by then we can bring it to the game. Other than that, I haven't found any unfinished maps, but will ping [JK] and see if there's anything he might have in storage.
