Dungeons
____________________________________
Have enough of regular missions? Feel as though you have what it takes to obtain this guild's ultimate prize, the God Armament? Then come and take on a dungeon.
Dungeons are mysterious buildings that appeared 6 months prior to the current storyline. It is commonly theorized that, if one clears a dungeon, he or she will be bestowed with riches and power. They are actually ruled by the essence of the hero that each individual God Armament was made for.
Players explore a dungeon that is divided into levels of increasing difficulty, fighting monsters for valuable treasure. As explorers venture deeper into the dungeon, the monsters become more difficult and the treasure more valuable.
You may request a dungeon be created for you to explore that a mod will create. *Please note: these dungeons take awhile to create and a lot of thought is put into them, therefore, it is possible that you could be waiting up to a month for a dungeon to be created. If a dungeon has not been created for you within thirty (30) days of your initial request, the God Armament for which you applied for will automatically be awarded to you. Dungeons will be themed based on the qualities of the God Armament. Each dungeon will be judged by 2 individuals amongst the crew. You may only issue one (1) dungeon request per month.
- Rules For Adventurers
To be eligible to explore a dungeon, you must be active in the guild for a minimum One Month or Thirty (30) days.
At the end of the dungeon your performance will be judged by two individuals amongst the Crew.
Each dungeon will last no more than 15 of the requester's turns of role play or until the Dungeon Master feels as though the dungeon is completed, whichever comes first.
Up to four people may request the same God Armament. Those wishing to adventure the dungeon too, have 48 hours after the Dungeon is posted to request it. ANY request after the deadline will not be honored.
Dungeons will be themed based on the qualities of the God Armament.
Each person may only obtain one (1) God Armament at a time using this method, so choose wisely.
Requesters must have the character they are using for the dungeon approved before they may submit a request.
At the start of the dungeon, all profiles regarding characters involved in the challenge Must Be and Will Remain Locked for the dungeon's duration.
If you are to go on a leave of absence before the dungeon has been created or before the dungeon can be completed, if the amount of time for return is reasonable, the dungeon may be postponed until your return. *Please note: if the time that you will be gone does not seem reasonable to the crew, then you may forfeit your right to start or continue the dungeon and it will be opened up to someone else.
*If you meet the qualifications to request a dungeon, then you may quote the crew.
Dungeon Masters
- Each individual participating in the dungeon will receive their own scores.
You will be judging based on Engagement, Realism of Action, Clarity of Details, Spelling, and Grammar, and Promptness of Posting back to your Dungeon Master as well as Effectiveness.
Engagement: Max 15 Points
- Engagement is judged by how your post interacts with an opponent and the environment. Good engagement scores are given for posts that account for relevant details in the opponent or Dungeon Master's post and the area as a whole. It is a good tip to account for details that were missing in your opponent or Dungeon Master's post.
Questions to consider: Did the player take note of the environment or use it in a creative way? Did the player accurately interpret the opponent or Dungeon Master's actions? Did the player provide ways for their opponent or Dungeon Master to interact with their character? Did the player attempt to incorporate the details given by their opponent or Dungeon Master into their own thoughts and actions?
- Realism of Action is, in essence, judged by how fairly you are playing your character. Good realism scores are given for actions in posts which are plausible within the context of the situation. This is essentially the rule-breaking penalty section.
Questions to consider: Are you playing your character in a way that makes sense given their physique, skill-set, powers, etc.? Are they providing a good sense of timing which allows the opponent or Dungeon Master to respond? Are they shrugging off attacks which should reasonably have been fairly debilitating? If this action was done to your character in this situation, would you consider it fair?
- Clarity of Details revolves around how the participants give out information within the situation itself, and how easy it is to read the situation. For this, it's almost needed to look at each person from the opponent or Dungeon Master's standpoint. Good clarity scores are given for making sure your actions can easily be understood and followed through each post.
Questions to consider: Are the players' actions able to be easily understood? Are those actions written in a way that makes their movements and attacks apparent rather than hidden or muddled? Is there any miscommunication from the player's opponent regarding what actions are being taken?
- Spelling and Grammar are the two most basic mechanics when it comes to writing. Good mechanics in writing help to build better all-around scores. Remember, there is a major difference between "X blanked" and "X would blank".
Questions to consider: Are there any glaring spelling mistakes? Did they use Third-Person, past tense? Does their word choice make sense?
Judges: If you aren't good at picking out mistakes by yourself, remember that you can always use Microsoft Word or a similar program to help out.
- Promptness starts at 10 Points. If at any point you do not respond to your opponent within 48 hours, 2 points will be deducted from your score. From then on, 2 additional points will be deducted for every 24 hour period which passes on your turn to post, If 10 Points has been deducted from this score, the challenge will end due to disqualification.
Judges: Keep watch of the time stamps. After each of you has given the scores of each person, the judge's numbers for each individual will be averaged, The person with the highest score will be declared the winner. Please note: In the event that there is only one person in the dungeon if the individual scores lower than a 30, they will be ineligible to obtain the God Armament.
