《 Navande 》 Location : Abyssal Straight Company : Unknown entity .. Feelings : Standby... I am designed to protect this land...
Navande watched him closely as he scanned the documents and broken words. Empty promises that only fueled her distrust of any and all to enter her domain. "Will die." she said almost as if by a knee-jerk reaction to his claim of others coming. She could tell her was picking his words as if they were tumblers to a lock. Careful and precise as not to trigger the alarm or snap the tool. "Mortal being. Share in life." she spoke as her tail continued to shift and move behind her to keep her steady, her arms flinching as her veins began to show when Surtr positioned himself closer to her boundary.
Her eyes glanced to his hand as he extended it, the blood once more present to her. "Words air. Blood liquid. Actions concrete." she stated firmly as she narrowed her gaze to him once more, eyes flickering slightly with the darkness having set in. His words on below caused her to shift herself back slightly as her hands curled into fists, flesh stretching with her grip sounding. He was touching on her very existence. "Will not enter." she barked like a broken record before he touched on his people. "Many have come. Vast. Powerful. Below." she said with a cold touch to her tone.
Moments of silence between the two passed as she simply starred at him, a gentle breeze and passing wave moving by while she just observed him. Her formed moved forward slowly before her hand extended to tightly grip his, the blood collecting on her wrist. "Mark words. Betrayal is death." she said with a very ominous and dark tone, her eyes easily conveying her situation before releasing his hand and shifting back once again. "Late. Sky dark. Leave." she said, head tilting up to the sky before she shot an irritated glance his way. And in a moment there was a calm before she twisted around to rocket back into the abyss below. She was done with him for today, his deal struck and her stance on it clear.

¤ Surtr Tasai ¤ ...For out of the ground we were taken... for the dust we are...
A closed mouth catches no flies. Surtr sat motionless atop the water when she spoke and mentioned that those who betrayed her lay below. Surtr observed her resolution. She was truly an interesting subject. Unwavering and unflinching in what she wanted or believed. She was unique, a creation of her for it seemed but someone Surtr could not kill, not without knowing everything about her. She was a remnant of a forgotten time and Surtr intended to understand just who and what she was.
As she made clear what would happen she took his hand in her own and the blood that pooled swirled around the two some entering Surtr and some entering Nevande before it dissipated. As she mentioned it being dark and she was leaving Surtr merely nodded as she dove back down to the depths below. He nodded to himself pleased she would give him a chance to prove himself. He turned and saw a nearby cliff and within seconds was airborne before landing gracefully upon it. He laid out across it that paper from the fallen still in hand as his eyes gazed up at the start. Although more life was lost than desired it was overall a pretty good day. He drifted off to sleep intent on getting the most out of this bargain the next time the two met.

《 Navande 》 Location : Abyssal Straight Company : Unknown entity .. Feelings : Standby... I am designed to protect this land...
Navande rested below as her body slowly rose and fall with long breaths, her state of being seemingly in an almost idle mode. Her form remained that of the humanoid scale, body wrapping around her trident as an almost anchor in the sea. She thought over her arangment with the winged one thinking over if it had been the correct choice or not. Pushing that aside she let herself continue to unravel in this form and state of mind. The old one above was careless to assume a resting place amongst her home, but then again they'd made a pact. No harm unto him .
Before long the sun began to crest the horizon, her form rising and falling beneath the waves as a small surge of water caused her eyes to shoot open. She slowly rose from her place and glanced up, the sight of treasure hunters looking to capitalize on the latest mage destruction leaving her in an easy position. Kill the trespassers. In a fluid motion of her tail she soared up to the vessel forcing herself through the hull to breach into the interior, her body pausing amongst the surprised crew before a flash of light exploded forth to strike her, missing as she dashed around the crew with blood and screams ringing out. Another morning for her as she clawed her way to the deck, flashes of speed and the boom of rifles sounding with each motion she took.
Within a minute of their arrival the deck stood silent, her figure slowly crawling from the captain's quarters with a trail of blood on her torso to follow. She paused atop the deck as it sank slowly into the waters, exhaling while it sank below along with the crew. So much attention since that blasted old one arrived. She was getting rather tired of guests in her waters. She glanced to the place he had taken residence at, body slowly shifting along the surface as she awaited for him to move. Surely he would have been alerted to the current act wrapping up by now. It was also close to morning with the sun now visible in the distance.

¤ Surtr Tasai ¤ ...For out of the ground we were taken... for the dust we are...
As day broke Surtrs eyes lazily lifted and he immediately let out a frustrated huff. This was just perfect, ravagers had come to pick the bones of what was left of his people. It seemed Nevande was immediately aware of their presence as well. The predictable screams and cries of pain as she shredded their ship to pieces rang out and Surtr shook his head. Why was it everyone wished to make this more difficult for him? Why was it that everything went against him? He was growing tired of constantly having to balance everything against such unfair odds and his own rage began to rise.
He looked to her and could see that she was watching and waiting. He there suddenly heard a horn off to the right. Three more ships, likely the rest of that little fleet coming to take what they could. Surtr had enough, they were here to desecrate where his people lay to steal whatever possessions they took with them to their watery grave. He would not stand for such disrespect. He may have been unable to save their lives but he would ensure they were not treated with such insolence in death. The seemingly clear morning sky darkened out of now where. A fearful squall approached coming in from the strait and moving out against the remaining ships. They were outside of her domain and thus Surtr believe it was time he show her how a faye goes about exterminating vermin. He tucked the scroll written by a fallen general under a rock for safe keeping and leapt from his post going airborne in a smooth motion.
Once he reached just before the three ships, he looked upon them with hatred. It boiled over now and his energy began to build far faster and far greater than what he had built up before. His arms began to spin in a cyclic motion over head his lavender hues locked on the trio of scum. The squall had halted them and their formation was tight, ideal for what Surtr had in store. The sea around them began to coil and crash waves moving all directions at first, then the water began to spin and a whirlpool started to form. The crews of the ship began to cry out scrambling to try and escape but it was forming too fast and with their close proximity to one another they could not pull free.
Surtr then ascended into the clouds disappearing from sight. The ships began to grown and sway the wood of their hulls bending and creaking with the force of the swirling water around them. As the whirlpool came to fruition the ships crashed into another their masts snapping and entangling each other with their sails and supporting ropes. Men were climbing with hatchets and knives trying to free themselves uncaring for the other now attempting just to ensure their own survival. This was folly. The clouds above the three suddenly erupted in a bright orange and from within its shadowy grasp emerged a great ball of fire. It descended upon them with immense force and the men seemed to all shriek out together at their impending doom. It collided with the trio and splinters of wood, fire and blood spewed forth from the abyssal hole of the whirlpool before it was engulfed by the sea. Parts of man and ship float along the waters outside of Navandes domain as the sea began to calm. There was no sound, no cry for help, no man left alive.
After several moments past the Fae surfaced from the sea and took to the sky again crimson water slipping from him plumage as he did. He flew back to his perch as the skies began to calm. Reached under the stone he pulled out the parchment and descended down to Navandes location touching down upon the surface before sitting. He opened the scrolled and showed its contents to her knowing she had read it before. "When was this sent?" He asked. He had so many questions regarding it but he did not bombard her, he would wait for her to answer not wishing to put anymore strain on the weak relationship. A bit of blood dripped from his chin, it was not his own of course. He had emerged unscathed. The ball of fire he descended within had done its job in protecting him. He didn't offer to help her as part of their bargain but this was something he would happily do. Those people wished to desecrate the graves of his people and Surtr would not allow such injustice.

《 Navande 》 Location : Abyssal Straight Company : Unknown entity .. Feelings : Standby... I am designed to protect this land...
Navande glanced to the distance as a trio of ships began to move in. She felt her face form into a scowl before her eyes caught movement from the rock Surtr had assumed home of. Before she could move she caught a glimpse of his power flicker, attention turning to the ships now caught in a torrent of water and fire. After the impact she simply shifted about along the waters surface, hands idle as they pushed water back and forth while her tail occasionally broke the surface. While his display was impressive she seemed to be rather neutral in her reaction after her memory sparked of the old ones waging war.
She saw Surge rise from the carnage and fly back to his perch, simply observing him with her magic slowly swirling around her in a passive manner. When he descended towards her she remained still in her form, almost like she was waiting for him to make the first move. When he displayed the scroll to her she blinked a few moments. "...long ago. Before war with old ones. After given task to guard. Lower ones. Seeking power. Permission not granted by First One. Eliminated upon orders. " she stated covering the story she was assuming he would ask. She then looked to him with the silence setting in slowly. She wasn't sure what this being wanted and why he was staying near.
The only sound was the subtle splash of water from her hands and tail, her eyes slow to blink as she observed this being. This old entity of days lomg forgotten and best removed from history with herself included. Yet here the two sat, a treaty of sorts between them. Murdering tresapassors together.

¤ Surtr Tasai ¤ ...For out of the ground we were taken... for the dust we are...
As she answered him Surtr sighed setting the scroll down and allowing it sink back to the depths along with the others she had brought up before. "You haven't had any contact with them since the war have you?" He said with a disappointed sigh. He thought he had finally found a lead. A chance at being able to get a scent on the trail he had long since lost. Though such hope was folly. The trail had run cold and it seemed even remnants of their army had become forgotten. He looked upon her with sadness his face conveying that dismay while he attempted to figure out what he should ask her next.
"If there if anything you wish to know feel free to ask..... Have you had any contact with the first since the great war?" He inquired knowing she mentioned it and deciding he may as well take a leap of faith and see if he would get lucky. While he doubted it would bare fruit he may as well attempt. She was his ticket his best shot at finding what it was he sought. She was a lifeline to an enemy long forgotten and he needed to be certain that she had no knowledge of that which he wanted. If she didn't then he's secondary objective would activate. He would start asking about her and attempting to understand just who and what she was.

Navande watched the man seemingly deflate before her as the scroll left his hands and floated back into the abyss. Her eyes watched it vanish before promptly locking back onto Surtr, her face and gaze ever neutral and fixed as he asked if she'd had contact since then. She hesitated with the question as her mind began to slowly pace through the times and how long she had been watching over her objective. "Few. Dead below now. Betrayed. Tresapassors. Weakened. " she mentioned as the visual defeat of Surge caused her to tilt her head slightly in response before turning to look out to the sea before them. "...one passed by. Never enter. Beyond boundaries. Old one. Fallen one. Not First one. " she spoke before looking back to Surtr.
"First gone. Gave duty. Left. " she spoke simply before shifting about along the water front. "Why come. Why remain. " she stated as her hands tiwtxhes and rested st her side. Be it curiosity or stupidity this old one was persistent in his desire to learn more. For a brief moment in time she also wanted to know something. Why was this man so determined to know the old ones. And how was he going to use such information to his own benefits? She'd know soon as she continued to float and hover about along the surface of the waters

¤ Surtr Tasai ¤ ...For out of the ground we were taken... for the dust we are...
She spoke of them being killed, she had ended them. It seemed the two had more in common that Surtr had initially surmised. Despite being on opposite sides of the coin the two had eerily similar purposes for existence. She was to guard this and eradicate any who entered and he was tasked with fixing the mistake of his people. The situation itself was a bit comical, and perhaps if Surtr were in higher spirits he would have had a good laugh. His lavender eyes scanned the surface of the sea watching it stir softly as Nevandes presence it always soothed him to watch something so resolute in its actions and yet so fickle in its behavior.
She mentioned the first being gone and Surtr looked to her, his hues darting to hers in an instant. "This first is not gone.....It still resides in this world somewhere..." He said plainly and calmly an intent look upon his face now. Surtr made not attempt to hide this motivation to seek out the first and Nevande was likely to have just seen the answer to her next question. Though Surtr would explicitly answer nonetheless. "My people, the old ones.... They created the first and in turn it created the fallen." Surtr said looking to her giving pause to be sure he didn't speak too fast or use too big of words. It wasn't that she was stupid but that this language wasn't what she spoke normally and he wouldn't want anything to be lost in translation. "I must kill the first. To fix what pain my people brought this world." He said looking to her waiting. "Your duty is to guard what lays below." He said pointing to the abyss beneath them. "My duty is to fix what my people broke." He said summarizing it into a simple sentence. Though the task had been anything but simple. Surtr had spent over 10000 years looking for the first and not an ounce of luck.
"You are fallen, you are a part of the first." Surtr said being sure to answer both parts of her question. "If I can understand you, maybe I can understand that which I seek." He said looking to her to now clarify that he had no intentions of killing or attacking her but instead to understand who and what she was. If he could gain insight into her maybe he could gain insight into the one he so fervently hunted.

Navande was firm in her movement and glancing at Surtr as he himself looked about. She rarely took her eyes away from him while he looked about the land and back to her. His reaction to her words caused her own eyes to lock with his, the abyss like hues almost staring him down as she shifted along the water slightly. "Gone. From here. Left here. Alone. " she stated with an almost hint of anger in her tone as the water around her flickered in a circle ever so slightly. The First had not left this world she knew that. His words on his kind caused her gaze to narrow slightly.
"Truth Old One. Took ordinary beings. Fashioned into weapons. " she stated as her arms shifted to allow water to roll and dance across her before swirling around Surtr and herself like a snake almost. "Didn't break. Made this. Me. " she claimed before the water slowly faded back around her. "First One. Experiment. Navande was the before. This now. " she claimed as she pushed herself back a little before her figure squirmed and shifted suddenly, her natural size returning with a towering shadow before Surtr as the waves crashed and roared about before coming to a halt.
"This one. Guards. Nothing more. No existence. The cold came. Hid below. Remained until it broke. Resumed task. Still awaiting orders. " she spoke as her voice boomed now that she had assumed her massive form once more. It seemed this was her natural form while the small might have been something for her to maintain perhaps. She remained silent as she let her figure sink until her bosom was just touching the water as she glanced to Surtr. "Ask what you will. " she said as the waters sloshed about a bit before resuming their calm manner, her attention glancing about the horizon for a scan of any approaching vessels or beings. The ball was in Surtr's court.

¤ Surtr Tasai ¤ ...For out of the ground we were taken... for the dust we are...
Surtr sat and listened studying her. Watching intently and meticulously scanning her to look for anything, any remnant of what was. Though as every previous encounter had proved it seemed nothing remained. When the water swirled around him he did not move or budge his body completely relaxed allowing it envelop him watching her all the while. It receded and Surtr exhaled as if he was breathing it off as it left. He was about the speak when suddenly darkness loomed overhead. That incredulous size of her returned and with it.
She continued to speak her words rippling the calm waters and causing Surtr to shift a bit in his position. He watched as she descended before giving Surtr permission to ask whatever questions he wanted. He tilted his head before slightly squinting his eyes focusing in his mind obviously pondering what question he should ask. "If Nevande was before what are you?" He inquired wondering and waiting. Did she even have a name? Perhaps in this form it was easier for her to leave such frivolities behind. "If they have all left why do you guard still? Is it duty? Or are you bound by something?" Surtr inquired looking to her. He hoped his words weren't misunderstood. He wanted to know if she was forced to do this or if it was something personal to her.
