Another day.
Every day seemed identical to the last, living a simple life on Pae'kippu beach. Her house was warm and full, the waters crisp and smooth. She was beginning to tire of it. Not that she disliked her life. She loved her parents and her sister Sommer, even if she was a trouble maker. But this monotony couldn't go on. So that morning after breakfast, she uncharacteristically pardoned herself. A day outside. Careful to take her water sack and shell, Aysel's head popped out of the water.
Slow look left...right...coat was clear. The female waded out as far as she could go before having to lift up in flight, her slightly transparent wings fluttering. Okay. A day the outside. Should be fun, right? After all, she used to love going outside. She just never really went alone before.

Hayri found himself wandering more often, spending days at a time away from the village his father lived in. His father spent a great deal of time updating the records he tended too, though lately it seemed less time consuming than usual. Still, Hayri found a need to move, fly, stretch his wings and legs.
He had first paid visit to his sister and his mother. His parents weren't together. A result of a .... very confusing night, or what Hayri could make of his father's tales anyhow. But today, Hayri found himself strolling along the beach opposite the one just below his village. He often wandered along the bank, procrastinating his way home.
But as the shetani went, head down, eyes glued to his feet, he failed to see the other figure flutter its way out of the water. A quick glimmer of a pink tailfin alerted the male to the other's presence as he tried to come to a quick halt, arms up, eyes wide, wings flared. "Whoa whoa S-s-sorrry!!" he blurted out, mout agape at the other pae. He Blinked. Then his cheeks turned bright red, his eyes unsure where exactly to go.

Just a little bit until the safety of the woods. The trees would protect her from sight. Just a few yards to go.
Then suddenly noise, and movement. The female gasped while quickly turning to see what had almost collided into her. A Pae! "Eep!" The sprite squeaked. Well, of course it was a pae! Statistically speaking, there were a lot of them and this was a large open space. Her pink eyes still widened in surprise, barely registering on his face before darting down to the ground. "N-n-no I'm sorry! Sorry. I-I wasn't looking, I was focused on the trees..." Oh spirits how embarrassing! Barely out of the water and already tripping over someone. Her face felt hot from the blush spreading across her features. "I-I don't...recognize you...You're not from around here."

Ahhh she spoke!!
Waving his hands, Hayri tried to vanish all blame from her and pin it on himself. "No no! I wasn't looking, I was...ah..." he rubbed his hand through his hair, smashing it down on the back of his head in embarrassment. "Um... lost in -t-thought?" he tilted his head and tried to offer her a smile. Though it seemed she had the exact same mindset as he and was looking anywhere but at her.
"I....n-no... " he answered in regards to her question. Folding his wings back against himself, his tail swaying idly. His pale grey eyes did their best to acknowledge her but it was just too difficult, so they too wandered else where. "I live mostly in my fathers village....but... I like to get away.... s-s-sometimes..." or all times he added mentally. Swallowing a lump in his throat, he took another chance to gaze at her. He hadn't seen many of her kind before, especially not with such pretty wings and antennae. He had only heard of them from his father's tale of that crazy party. And now here was one smack dab in front of him!
His face turned an even darker shade of red at the thought.

The movement from his hands made her eyes flick back up only to promptly flash back down when she realized what had happened, her face turning even redder.
Ah he was cute!
"Oh, I-its okay! I do too. I mean, get lost in thought. I do that a lot." There she went, unable to properly talk. Why was she so awkward? At least he seemed to flounder just as much. It was a small measure of comfort. "A village near here? Is it by Star Grove?" Her grandparents village was down the beach a ways. She went there every now and then to visit the bustling town, but it mostly was overwhelming for her.
At the possible familiarity the sprite slowly looked up from his toes to look at his face.
She managed a good two seconds before looking back down again.

She seemed just like him!
Sort of!
Well... almost? Kinda... personality wise anyways. He found strange comfort in the fact that she seemed just as nervous as he did. It was like he wasn't alone....she knew what he was feeling. Or so he hoped anyways. The last thing he wanted was to be rude to somepae he had just met.
"Oh I.... I'm s-sorry I'm not familiar with Star Grove?" he gulped, tilting his head. He hoped that didn't sound stupid. He probably sounded stupid.... "I come from Porccell Ein, its uh... its up on the cliffs across....erm across the lake." he nodded, a hand reaching out to point over the shimmering waters of Tuatha'i Lake.
It was probably too far to notice many details from this side, but if they had been on the other side, on Cha'en Beach, she might have been able to see the cut away in the cliff side where stone buildings had been erected. In his mind he could picture it clearly. His father was probably nose deep in books again or finding pretty rocks with markings or scribbles. Probably wasn't even looking for him, he had stopped once Hayri had grown.
"You've probably not heard of it though, huh...." he tilted his head, daring himself to bring his gaze back up to meet hers. At least if only for a little bit. He rubbed his shoulders sheepishly, slightly biting his bottom lip. He wished he could ask cooler things and not sound so lame.

She quickly shook her head when he apologized for not knowing about her grandparents village. That wasn't his fault, she didn't think poorly of him for that at all! Especially since she didn't know what Porccell Ein was. "Porccell...Ein..." The sprite slowly sounded out, the name strange to her.
At his movement she looked up and followed where he pointed. So, somewhere across the lake, there was another village? She never thought to venture out to see. There'd be pae there probably. Pae she didn't know. But what if it had neat things? Things that she or her mother would like? "N-no...I haven't. Is it nice?"
Oh barnicles! Here she was, having a conversation and she didn't even introduce herself. She was so rude! She blushed even harder. Hopefully he didn't notice how rude she was. Slowly, ever so slowly, she looked up while hesitantly extending a hand. "B-by the way...Um...Ah...My name..." Would he care? He probably wouldn't remember her anyway! But she had already started, she couldn't stop now. "Aysel. I'm Aysel. It's not the coolest name but it's what mom gave me, ha ha." She was such a dork! How embarrassing.

Something about her seeming interested made him happy and he couldn't quite explain it. He hadn't quite felt this way before. Usually he just felt.... bored.
"Um... well I suppose...?" he shrugged. Since he had grown up there he was probably biased about the village. Though maybe not in the way one would expect. "I feel like.... Star Grove sounds a lot nicer." he managed an awkward shy smile though he dared not glance up at her for fear of what he might see on her face. She probably thought he was a super dork.
But then she offered her name and he realized he hadn't even introduced himself either. "Oh! No... no I think your name is very cool. Very pretty... Aysel...." he began, trying to sound confident though he felt more like a school child. "I'm Hayri....... and its....um..." how did the phrase go? "Its really nice to meet you... Aysel." he said her name again.

Oh what a thought she just had. She never had been to Porccell Ein, and he had never been to Star Grove. "Well, um. I-if you wanted, um. If you ever, you know, wanted to visit Star Grove..." Her face felt hot. "I could, show you, maybe?" The last was a bit of a squeak. Her father was the village greeter, it only made sense that she offered to help. And he was really cute...
If she thought her face was hot before, it was a fire after his compliment. Her name? Pretty? And she liked it when he said her name! It wasn't very often anyone but family used it. "T-thanks, Hayri." She spoke softly back, incorporating the name to memory. "It's...really...really nice to meet you too." Here she was, having a full conversation with a cute, charming boy, and she was actually able to talk! This simply had just never happened before. But the way he seemed as awkward as her made it easier to talk. He wasn't intimidating or making her feel weird.
"Oh, ah, I'm sorry...if I interrupted your walk. I hope you don't mind...I was out for a walk too." A brief pause as she blinked. "Well, erm. I don't have feet. Uh...float?" A bit of a soft laugh as she glanced up to his face then back down again. He wasn't staring at her, so good news all around!Fea Line And forever late, a post LOL

When she invited him over to visit her village he lit up like a a christmas tree on dark cold night. For once he managed to bring his gaze up to hers without nerves holding him back. "You really mean it?!" he about shouted at her from excitement before he coughed and reeled himself back in. "I mean... if thats really ok... I'd love too visit." he smiled and nodded.
At her mention of interrupting his walk he waved his hands softly in protest. "Oh no no, not at all... I'm..um... glad you did." he chuckled softly at her switch of words. A float was more accurate but... it didn't seem to fit her. "Maybe a flitter. Or flutter." he offered with a soft laugh of his own. Prettier, fancier, frillier words seemed to fit her better, what with her curling tail fin, Lacey fluttery wings and antenna.
Now he really was sounding like a total dork. Tartara Seabreeze and a forever later one orz

The sprite gave a bit of a start at his sudden shout, her eyes shooting up to meet his before he quickly retreated back to shyness.
Despite herself, she laughed. He was kind of a dork. But he was also adorable. She nodded quickly to answer him before he fretted otherwise. It would be great to have him visit! Her family would be so proud of her, one for talking to another pae and two for potentially bringing two villages together.
"Flitter...flutter...Y-yes. I like that." Another bashful, soft giggle. "I-If...if that's the case. Um. I could...flitter...next to you...as you walked?" Ah so bold of her! But she wanted to know him more, and they had both gone out for a stroll. It seemed pretty logical for them to walk...or float or flutter, together.Fea Line I see your 4 month response and I return with a 3 month LOL
