Ava had begun packing up, sliding papers neatly into drawers and tugging at her jacket. Maple had gone home earlier, and Ariel had a guardian for the evening. The only thing left to do was lock up the office, and wander to the first floor. Still, for a second, she considered just skipping the outing. A part of her was nervous, oddly so. Perhaps it was due to the fact it was an interview outside of the academy, where she lacked power. Anything could happen, and Ava wouldn't be able to retreat into her office if needed. She was not the best at communication, and often she had been told she was blunt. Too blunt. What if she offended Flynn and Kirket wasn't there to fix it? She was alone.
Sighing, she scooped her keys up and left the office, locking it. Padding down the long stairs, she made sure her phone was on in-case the academy needed her, finally reaching the first floor shortly after. Stepping out of the academy, Ava waited near the main entrance, briefly sending a text to Maple to let her know she'd be home late.
Flynn was a nervous wreck. He couldn't find anything nice to wear! He tried on at least a dozen outfits before giving up and wearing something semi casual, semi formal. The restaurant was close enough to walk from the academy... As was his house so he made his way to the academy... Hoping that Ava would be okay walking.
He waited outside of the building, flowers in one hand and chocolates in the other. Girls like flowers and chocolates..... Right? He smiled as he saw Ava emerge from the school, moving to her. "Hey! Thanks again for agreeing to join me tonight. I.. Uh.. Got these for you." His face flushed, handing her the flowers and small box of chocolates.
It was then he thought of her having to carry those everywhere they went that night, now wishing he'd picked her up in a vehicle! Flynn smiled nervously, "I-I can carry them for you if you'd like." He told her.
