The First Night
In the nothingness known to no man, but the supreme being itself there once existed a great chasm to which evil poured out of, an absolute which existed in all forms. On the day before life, another absolute force was created, the spirit of god. To the knowledge of man, this god created the very existence of light, and upon the words ‘let there be life’ the great struggle was born. In this chasm, a being of equal power, ancient and all powerful created a series of beings of his own creation, similar to his new mortal enemy; forming the seven anti-life equations. Powerful entities whom existed in a primordial anti-life existence until the children of this being could be strong enough to combat the absolute being that created such a struggle.
Upon the creation of these seven, one in particular existed of heightened power, known as ‘The First Night’, this creature was sicker than the rest, born dying and without hope of existing for long without the hopes of survival. Placed upon the sun, the first light of existence, this shadow grew upon the earth for the first time, creating the first night of life, and so god created the seven archangels in order to combat this night. As Adam and Eve were made, The archangels and the first night combatted for twelve long hours before a peace was created; a treaty of hope in order to save the emerging life equations. Under the accords of light and darkness, during the first twelve hours of day, when man awakes, the light shall burn strong on one end of the earth while the other half shall be dominated by the first night, and his other six brothers. During the second twelve hours, when man sleeps and beast roams, the seven nights would switch places with the seven lights of god; creating a constant guard of life and death, creating a balance.
The first Night, known as Demise by many existed as the first born, and fought the war by himself at one point, weakening him for eternity. Existing at every point in dimensional existence, he is near omni-existent besides the great darkness, and the great light; for only absolutes exist there. With this, Demise is near omnipotent, knowing a great wealth of knowledge from his time on earth, and around the multiverse. Eldritch energy, the force of the elders flows through his being, and he has full manipulation of this force, making him incredibly powerful in most arcanic arts on both sides of the coin. As a living shadow he is both stronger in the night, and weakened in the light; to put it simply, at any point of night or darkness, he is almost invulnerable, only when opposed by light and day is he easily defeated. As he is one of the first beings created, he is near absolute, in power, in existence, and in mortality. In short, Demise is never truly destroyed, and never truly powerful or powerless; he is in existence to uphold a balance, same as day; though at times he’s been known to attempt to destroy this balance for his own causes, or for that of the great darkness. Along with this, Demise has full control of energy absorption, and as a living shadow he is almost always intangible to physical harm.
His form is highly dependent on whatever he wishes it to be, making him hard to locate, and taking a wealth of knowledge to call upon him. As a completely magical being he is vulnerable to spell casting, and magical ensnaring powers to the powerful magicians, or sorcerers; however he is well versed in most forms of magic. At the will of the great evil, he can gain more power than he already possesses though this is rare to happen, as it takes power from the other six nights. Commonly found wherever he pleases, it is incredibly hard to tell his usual spots, and though he is an evil creature he has been known to help others, for he serves the will of the balance, and nothing else besides his personal ques.
