TLK = The Last Knight
I /think/ that the next films will either involve Unicron or Primus in some way given the clips of "why earth"/giant orbs in space, the end of cybertronians/earth/humans, etc.
Also, in the first half-minute or so of the preview clip I couldn't tell what I was seeing a preview for. A movie about vikings? The Middle Ages? WWII? A sequel/prequel to the Alien franchise? What a confusing eyesore.
Some of those clips also look they were lifted from either
1. The DaVinci code series
or 2. National Treasure
But more a lot more confusing, and with transforming robots. And also, dragons? What?
Had to not laugh at the minute mark when the narrator said "Optimus Prime has left us". Rude to laugh at a dead bot but I did not believe for 0.00000000000001 seconds he was really, actually, completely and fully dead. You can't fool me, robot jesus.
And why did they shoot him off into space while Megatron & Jazz got tossed into Mariana's Trench? Who shot him off into space anyway? Why...? For the dramatic space shot, I guess?
Also subtracting points for narration over this garble of unclear shots. I've once heard movies described as related moving pictures, but very few points in the trailer seemed immediately related. Kind of like high-definition eye-candy, but more like eye-junk.
"You want to know why they keep coming here, don't you?"
At this point, I'm not really sure that I do, Anthony Hopkins. This trailer kind of looks like a tire fire. Seeing Mark Whalberg in this trailer does not give me any kind of hope for this movie.
Also, Optimus Prime wailing on Bumblebee makes me really sad. I'm calling child services. :'(
What do you think of the newest live action movie trailer?
Which characters do you think will return/be introduced, to keep the $$$ franchise/action figure line going?
