Horace might not have expected, who knew, but Eli appreciated a good joke as much as the next guy. Especially sex jokes—call him easily amused. He snerked and didn't even try to cover it up.
"Sounds about right." All the while he was checking Horace's text, adding the number to his contacts, coming up with a perfectly suitable and probably predictable name. "You'll text me the details for our first time, won't you?" he asked, only to add via text:

"No, no, I think I'll take your recommendation. Never hurts to try new things." Elliot didn't put his phone away, but he did shift his weight again like he meant to start walking. Not long after he said, "If you'll excuse us, though, we need to get going. There are chores waiting at home, unfortunately."
Ah, the life of your average man. If nothing else, Eli had long since gotten used to living paycheck to paycheck while doing all his own chores.
"I'll see you around, Horace. Keep in touch." Pascal bumped affectionately against Horace's leg as they moved around and started their walk again. It was like he wanted to say keep in touch, too. And don't forget to pet me more next time.
Only when they were down the sidewalk did Eli finally reply back to the text.
