Personality: Reggie is a very collected person though he acts very open and seems to tell you all about himself he actually plays his cards close to his chest so to speak. He is also clumsy sometimes though that's due to him overworking his lungs to the point he becomes dizzy and looses conscious for a few seconds, that and he really is a klutz. He's also very curious by nature and is known to ask random questions from time to time though generally his mind seems to wander else where during questions about family. (See bio for details.) Also kind and generous Reggie at times may seem very gullible and not at all smart, but he's actually very observant and can remember most of what he sees and hears. Though a genius by some and the mind like a General, he never likes to show it, always having a very laid back attitude and would rather be working on different tech or even a new project just for the hell of it. Honestly a lot of his superior officers thought his talents were going to waste when he joined the engineering track, but he didn't see it that way. A drifter by choice, apart of Reggie wants to explore the outskirts of space, since that child adventurer never really died in him after all these years.
Bio: Reggie grew up with three older sisters and two younger brothers. Being the middle child of the family he didn't get as much attention as his older and younger siblings did, and honestly he was fine with that. His mom was a weapons engineer who helped design many of today's ships defense and offense mechanisms, after Reggie she retired and became a stay at home mom, while her husband, Reggie's dad was a hardcore captain, meaning he was very strict, and he and Reggie didn't always get along.
As a child Regime was very adventurous and could mostly be found swimming in the nearby caverns a few miles from home. It wasn't til he was about nine a venomous gyjo, a dark snake like fish with paralysis venom fangs, bit him and he almost drown, luckily his older sister, Lun was coming to get him and got him out of the water before he died.
After that he gained a fear of drowning, but it didn't kill his adventurous spirit. When he was sixteen Regime was a very bright kid, but his grades lacked in showing that. He, like every kid his age, felt like an outcast in school and it didn't help to discover that his mom was a drug addict, and father a raging alcoholic. During this time his older sisters had all left the household leaving Reggie behind to "fix" a broken family.
With his parents' illusion shattered without the help of his older siblings to cover it up, he started pulling his weight by getting odd jobs to help pay the bills and tried his best to keep the illusion of good parents for his two younger brothers sake, but he couldn't.
One night, after coming home from work and picking his brothers, Rin and Zy, up from the babysitter's, he found his mom OD'd in the bathroom, barely breathing. He went to call the police, but before he could his father saw his wife and in his drunken rage took it out on Reggie by beating on him and throwing him against the sink, hitting his back, and fell hitting his head against the tub.
Dazed he tried to get up and grab his dad before Rin and Zy could see him, but that only worsened his father's anger and he grabbed Reggie by the collar of his shirt and forced his head under the water in the tub. All Reggie can remember is his muffled yelling and pleads under the water, red, then nothing.
A few weeks later he woke up in the hospital lost and confused. Throughout his stay he learned his young brother Rin, who was nine at the time had called the police and they managed to get there in time to save Reggie, but sadly not his mom.
He also learned his brothers were in protective services since their father did escape before the police got there. Worried for them Regime wanted to see them, but the police told him, "It's best if you don't know where they are in case your father turns up again." Angry and filled with grief at the loss of his mother Regime began pushing everyone around him away. He refused to answer any more questions from the police and for awhile he even refused treatment for his damaged lungs and most of his treatment had to be done by sedating him. After six months in the hospital Regime was released and went on to continue high school. Though he did manage to keep up with his classes while getting treatment he didn't exactly pass with flying colors.
After high school Regime took on odd jobs til about his mid-20s when he decided to join the military. At first he joined other tracks, like business and legal, healthcare, and even first responder, but even though he could do those jobs well they just didn't seem to fit him well enough, so he joined the engineering track and found it fit him best, since he was always very good working with his hands and it gave him a challenge. He started his career on the Verge Base around his late-20s, and even though he's happy with how his life is now he still thinks about his younger brothers everyday and hopes that they're safe and that hopefully he'll get to see them again one day.
