:: Big Brother / Big Sister Program ::img thingy here :: Feb 7th - Feb 28th 11:59pm :: :: Free :: Does your 'Tronic dream of being a big brother or sister? Well, lucky for them, ć̴̸͟l̷̸̸̛͘a̶͏̧ś҉́͟s̵͢i̸͜͞͝͡f̨̛́̕͝į̵̧̕e̵̸̢͜d͠҉̶̸͝ has opened an event at the school for them to do just that! All a 'Tronic needs to do is come down to the commons area, fill out an application, and meet with the Children to find their perfect fit! Teen and Adults may both apply, as this is not adopting a Child as their own but rather taking one under their wing as a mentor and hopefully best friend. So, what are you waiting for? Go meet them! You may enter as many 'Tronics as you'd like... :: ...however, only one may 'win' :: One post per 'Tronic, please and thank you :: Fill out the form completely :: 'Tronics start out as CHILD model, and will need to meet requirements to grow :: As per new shop canon, Children may have AI or kid souls, which is up to the 'winners' :: Multiple Children will be given out, there is no set number :: Each Child will be cc'd, it's pretty much a grab bag :: You -might- end up with twins :: More rules may be added in red if needed~ ::

RP :: (briefly rp your 'Tronic going to apply and look for/meet a Child, please note gender/model/descriptions will not be taken into account if you 'win') I'd Like To Apply!'Tronic Applying :: ChampagneReason :: Champagne has loved children ever since she grew up and was no longer one herself. She remembers, though, what it's like and how hard life can be... or how hard death can be. While she's not quite ready for children of her own -as she wants to find a good and proper mate first-, she's more than ready and happy to be someone's big sister~ OOC, which models do you NOT want to receive? :: chick, puppet RP :: Well, the fox-modeled girl thought, now's my chance! She'd been musing over the idea of finding a child to mentor as a big sister for a while now, and it looked like the universe decided to drop the opportunity right in her lap! Champagne was certainly thrilled, but if she was being honest, she was a bit nervous, too. What if the kids didn't like her? What if her application got rejected after she found someone who adored her? What if she wasn't good enough, and let down whoever she got paired with? Taking a deep breath and pushing her fears aside, she filled out the application and walked into the commons room. Lots of children were running around, some playing games, some skipping rope... and one was being bullied. Uh, no. That was one thing Champagne was not going to stand by and allow. Where were the attendants? Did they not see this? No matter, the tri-colored fox was putting a stop to it. Putting on a calm face, Champagne walked over to the kids, coming up behind the one being bullied, but none payed any attention to her. They were too focused on the trembling model who's head was bent down and arms wrapped around them. One of the kids pushed them, and they went tumbling back onto Champagne's feet. "S-sorry!" the kid stuttered out, while the others laughed. Champagne just reached a hand down to the kid, and kept her eyes on the others. "No worries, kiddo, you're not the one who needs to apologize." Her voice came out cold but not vicious, a calm comment that only the receiver would hear the anger in. The bullies sobered up real quick, and a couple mumbled out 'sorry's' towards her. "I'm not the one you need to be apologizing to." A few more clearer 'sorry's' were directed at the kid who now had their back pressed to Champagne's legs and her hands protectively on their shoulders, and Champagne nodded at them. "Thank you. Run along now, and mind your manners." They all nodded and scurried off, and the girl knelt down by the kid. "You ok?" They nodded, and she smiled. "Good. Try not to let---" Before she could finish, the kid threw their arms around her in a big hug, mumbling 'thank you's' into her shoulder, and of course Champagne curled her arms around them, too. As she was rubbing the kid's back comfortingly, one of the attendants walked over with her application in hand. "Miss Champagne? We've come to a decision based on your application..."

I'd Like To Apply!'Tronic Applying :: MischiefReason :: Mischife misses their own siblings from before they became a 'tronic and sees this as a way to fill the hole. OOC, which models do you NOT want to receive? :: None, any is fine RP :: Mischief had seen the fliers around for a while. At first, they ignored them. The last thing they wanted was a little brat following them around, getting in the way, cramping their style. But slowly, as it tended to happen with them, over the course of a couple of days, memories began to creep in. At first, it was random little things, seeing something that one of their siblings had liked, or something they would have thought was funny. Then it evolved into actual memories of the things they had done with the younger ones, the trouble they had gotten into, the games they had played, or even fond memories of their older siblings, times when they had taken the time to teach Mischief things, and how important they had felt at the time. They smiled to themselves, it was even their older siblings that had given them their nickname. They had always called them "The Mischief Maker."
It was these memories that finally drove Mischief down to the common room on sign up day. They knew it wouldn't be the same as their own siblings, but maybe at least they could give another child the warm fuzzy memories they had.
They filled out the forms and stepped into the large, noisy room where the children played and looked around. They looked around wondering who they should talk to and where to even start.
As Mischief scanned the room they spotted one child standing so pressed into the wall that they looked like they were trying to become a part of it as they stared longingly at the other children playing.
They wandered over to the child, who looked up at them uncertain as they approached. Mischief grinned at the kid "Hey rugrat." They greeted them.
The child frowned looking a little confused "I'm not a rat.""Huh I guess you are right, how about shorty then?" Mischief pretended to think about it.
The child gave Mischief a dirty look "I'm not short." They argued.
"You're shorter than me." Mischief said with a grin.
"Yeah... I guess so." The child frowned again "What do you want?""Wanna play?" Mischief asked the child with another grin."I guess," The child said sounding uncertain again "Play what?""How about we go see if we can play ball with the other kids." He gestured to a group kicking a ball around "That looks like fun."The child looked over at the group and shook it's head "No I can't." it said "I'm no good at stuff like that. I'll fall or sumthin.""So?" Mischief asked sitting on the floor next to the child "Being good isn't what it's about, it's about having fun." Mischief knew that while they rarely followed this advice, it was the right thing to say to a kid."But it's embarrassing." The child whined.
Mischief scruffed the child's hair "I bet that once you start playing you will forget all about that. Come on I will even go to play with you, and if you get too embarrassed I will pretend to trip and then everyone can laugh at me instead.""Really?" the child asked giving Mischief big doe eyes."I promise," Mischief said with a nod as they stood and offered the child their hand."Okay." The child said brightly and took Mischief hand "But remember you promised.""I won't forget," Mischief said with a chuckle and led the child towards the group to play.
It was easy getting into the group, they were eager to have a couple more players. The child they had dragged into the game, stuck close to them for a while but soon forgot to be shy and started to have fun.
When one of the program coordinators entered the room, Mischief barely noticed, even when the woman headed in their direction."Mischief?" The woman said as she approached the group."One sec," Mischief said absently as they tossed the ball to one of the kids.
The woman looked impatient and cleared her throat "Mischief, I have your application here.""My what... Oh, oh yeah right sorry." Mischief said as they remembered where they were and what they were doing. Looking embarrassed as even the kids giggled at their memory lapse, Mischief left the game and joined the woman to find out the outcome.

I'd Like To Apply!'Tronic Applying :: NiagaraReason :: She used to be involved with a school swim team as a kid and wants to help a child to make friends and have a similar bond with others. OOC, which models do you NOT want to receive? :: Puppet RP :: Niagara was a confident, well-adjusted adult, or at least she liked to believe that. But she was still young and still trying to figure out her place in the 'tronic world. Her memories of her previous life were vague and sometimes crept into her thoughts at the most random intervals, making her struggle with her reality. Who had she been? Who was she now? When she heard about the new Big Brother/Big Sister program, she was immediately intrigued. She supposed that some of the kids needed more help than others. The ones with traumatic pasts, or perhaps those with AIs that needed more education than schooling alone could provide. She planned to visit the commons area on the day of the sign-ups and check it out. The day came and Niagara joined the older students and adults as they made their way to the commons. It was pretty busy, though some had come to look out of curiosity, not to sign up. Even some of the kids in the program had come to meet the applicants. On one side of the room, the kids that had willingly joined the program laughed and played, some with quiet games with dolls and plush, while others jumped on and off the plush chairs like excited puppies. On the other side of the room were the ones that seemed to have been forced to be there, and they stood and sat on the floor with surly expressions. The adults who watched them looked more like guards than chaperones. Niagara joined the line at the sign-up table and once it was her turn, she was given a form with a number of questions to fill out, as well as the usual things like her name and ID number. She wrote it all down as thoroughly as she could before handing the papers back to the attendant. She then meandered around the room, unsure what to do next. She wasn't paying much attention when something caught in one of her foot joints. She stumbled, barely catching herself before hitting the floor. Then she noticed one of the surly children watching her. "Those are MY headphones," the kid said snottily, pointing to her leg. A pair of headphones had managed to wrap around her ankle. Niagara felt an embarrassed warmth in her cheeks as she bent down to untie herself and hand the earbuds back to the kid. The child snatched them away without a thank you. "Um, sorry?" Niagara said, not really sure how to approach this child. "Mhm," the kid grunted in reply, before slipping one of the buds into an ear. Niagara stood awkwardly in silence for a moment. The kid leaned against the wall and slid down to sit on the floor. "So... are you in the Big Brother Big Sister program?" "Yep. It's fun," the kid said, looking annoyed at Niagara. Then, to her disgust, the child pulled a piece of gum from their mouth and flicked it across the room. It hit one of the chairs and hung there. "Don't you want to be here?" "Does it look like it, lady?" The child scowled at her, before putting the second earbud in the other ear and turning up the volume on their music player to the point Niagara could hear it. Some kind of vulgar song about buns and anacondas. Niagara stood there for another moment when suddenly, the kid looked down at their feet. "It was this or... something else." Their expression told Niagara that they were hiding something unpleasant. Her eyes softened as she gazed on the youth. "Well, I hope you are paired with someone who will... understand," Niagara said. She decided to give the kid their space and turned back to the sign-up table. Would she be strong enough to handle a child like that? ChaosTheories Let's hope she is! 8D

I'd Like To Apply!'Tronic Applying :: BonnetReason :: Bonnet wants a little sibling to hang out with and try to help mentor through some of the harder parts of 'Tronic life, such as trying to overcome their 'glitch'. OOC, which models do you NOT want to receive? :: Puppet RP :: Bonnet looks around the Commons area in surprise at all the others gathered around. She hadn't expected there to be so many others showing up, although, upon closer inspection, she sighs as she realizes that the vast majority that were here were only here to gawk at the poor younger 'Tronics. She makes her way through the crowd, heading up to the sign up table and fills one of the forms out. After handing it back to the attendant, she makes her way around the room, stopping every now and then to watch some of the little ones playing. A ball suddenly rolls to a stop near her feet, causing her to pick it up and look around for whoever lost it. Seeing a small group of little ones looking at her fearfully, she blinks and slowly makes her way closer, holding the ball out to them. "Hey there. I think this got away from you, huh?" She gives her friendliest smile to the group. "What are you playing? Can I join you?"
