Enju walked into the library it was really nice, he liked the quiet. As soon as he was inside, he took a deep breath taking in the scent of the books. He smiled happily as he wandered further into the library to find a book to read. Enju needed to figure some stuff out. He looked around trying to decide what section he wanted to go to. He tapped his lip as he was thinking. He could go science section, history section. Well maybe for today he would just go to the freshling section and relax looking at picture books.

Maylis sighed happily and cuddled deeper into the soft bean bag chair, a book on clouds in her lap. She had gotten the book from the adult section, but she always brought her books back to the freshling section to read. It was much more comfortable, and oddly better lit.
The library was one of her favorite places to be, and the only down side was that Crux would be incredibly bored here. So when Maylis went to spend time in the library, her sister was elsewhere presumably having fun. Which was fine, they didn't have to be together all the time... But the library was the only place Maylis could feel comfortable alone.

Enju picked a fun freshling book and took a spot in a blue bean bag chair. He glanced over at the imp reading in another bean bag chair and he nodded a greeting to them before he started looking through the book he had picked out about bugs. He smiled softly looking through the information about bugs, laid out in a simple freshling manner. He knew his sister Eistsu would have mocked him for picking such a simple book, but Enju was enjoying himself. It was nice to just read and relax without having to worry about what someone else thought of him.

Maylis sank further into her own bean bag when she noticed another freshling coming in. She returned the nod and smiled a little even though just that simple interaction left her anxious. She knew Crux would tell her she needed to speak up, make some more friends. Maylis was much happier with just Crux for friends. Well, Crux and their new siblings, Cinnabar and Cinder. She was glad that her adoptive mother had found someone to love and that their family had grown, but still...
Maylis sighed softly, her thoughts on anything but her book. "Is...is that a good book?" she asked quietly.

Enju peeked up from behind his book when he heard someone speaking to him, "Umm well yes.." He said softly he was so uncertain about talking to others. "Did you find a good book to read??" Enju asked nicely curious if the other freshling had found something nice to read. Books were good, playing was good too, though. Too much of anything wasn't good right?? He fidgeted in his spot waiting for the other freshling to answer him. Enju would never be as clever or certain as his other siblings, but perhaps he was more gentle and kind than his other siblings.

Maylis was a little surprised to find that the other freshling seemed to be just as shy as she was. "O-oh, y-yes. it's about c-clouds," she squeaked. "I...um... I r-really like c-clouds." She brought her legs up under herself as she looked over at the other freshling. She was still nervous, talking to someone new, and the movement was almost like she was curling in on herself more. "W-what's your b-book about?" she somehow managed to ask. Crux would be proud of her, at least, for talking to someone new. For the first time since she and Crux had been adopted, she began to wonder about this other kid. Maybe they could be friends? Since they both seemed to like reading...

Enju wasn't bothered by the other freshling being as quiet as he was, in fact it made him feel a little better that they weren't as forward and flashy as some of the other freshlings that Enju had met. Enju's own siblings were sometimes forward and flashy and Enju just wasn't. "Oh that's nice.." He said softly "I'm reading about bugs, it's rather interesting if you wanna trade when your done with your book." he offered. Enju waited for the other freshling to answer, there was no need to rush they both liked a quiet, softer way of doing things, it was nice to meet a kindred spirit.

Maylis smiled a little. This was nice. Everything with Crux was move move move move, loud noises and play fights and tag and sometimes Maylis just wanted to relax with a nice book. Which her sister found super boring. "S-sure," she said softly with a small smile. "That s-sounds like a g-good idea." She was kind of surprised that she was beginning to feel comfortable around this freshling. That didn't happen with her very often. In fact, the only ones she was completely comfortable around was her family. They were the only ones she didn't stutter around. "I'm...um...I'm M-Maylis," she chirped.

Enju smiled softly when the other freshling agreed to trade books with him when they were done reading, they didn't need to say a ton or yell. They didn't need to run around to have fun. It was rather a relief. Enju had liked Pyre but being with them had been a shock to his system. Such a bright flashy freshling had been a trail to get used to. He nodded when Maylis introduced themselves. "Nice to meet you Maylis, I'm Enju." He said softly. Then he looked back down at his book to read a bit more, still listening in case Maylis wanted to tell him something about their book, or when they were ready to trade books.

Maylis smiled when Enju gave his name in return. He was a peaceful kind of Nightmare, she felt, and it was relaxing to read next to him. She settled more comfortably in her beanbag and went back to reading her book. She loved learning about clouds; she just couldn't get enough of them. She didn't think she'd ever get tired of clouds, or weather.
She looked over at Enju and thought about sharing an interesting fact she had just learned but he looked so intent on his book and she didn't want to interrupt more than she already had. Besides, they were going to trade books when they were both finished anyway so he would see it. It would be fun to see if he thought the same thing was interesting...

Enju loved sitting with Maylis he had company and he knew they were there, without being forceful or overbearing, he enjoyed it a great deal. He didn't have to be more than he was sitting there with his new friend he could read about the butterflies, moths, crickets, and other rather fun looking bugs. Once he was done reading the book he patiently waited for his turn to read Maylis' book on the weather. He wondered if they would like the book he had been reading not everyone liked bugs after all. He wondered if he would like the book on weather, he thought he would since clouds were soft and peaceful.
