i haven't seen mine in person (but ive seen to pickyz)...we met on gaia. his fifteenth b-day is september 10, he will be 15 so he can drive down and see me next year! (wheeee! older guys)

But you still have to say it? Keep in mind that you have a position of authority here, which means sometimes you must bite your tongue. I'm inclined to agree that it's a recipe for trouble... but it's not always a tragedy. I wouldn't be wo I am if not for my the online relationships I had when I was younger.
Trust me I know the results of having an online relationship and although some may turn out ok and everything just great and everything I would probably never take it as far as to meeting someone in person. Not for the fact that I wouldnt want to. Its just that I know that words typed on a screen are so much easier than an actual conversation and it would be so much different in person no matter how much you are sure of yourself.
