Paths
<--Appalachian Rigs
God's Canyon-->

If you follow the plains to the northern side of the mountains that lie all around the Appalachian Rigs, you will find a trodden path that leads up into the rock giants. The pathway begins as an easy trail, but when you reach the Archway Cemetery--a point in the middle of the mountains--things get a little...strange. The location is aptly named after the many broken (and few still standing) archways that line the path. Broken, eroding stairs follow beneath these arches, and they lead you ever upward and through the Appalachian Mountains. There are many locations in this path that branch off into several different arch-lined trails, and none of them are marked or detailed in any way. People have tried to mark their ways--to eliminate certain paths to find the place they are meant to go. However, when they return to a place they have been before--a place they were sure they set a marker--it would be gone; reverted to its original state before anyone had ventured near.

The maze of trails in the Archway Cemetery are extremely hard to work your way through, taking many travellers days to escape them. However, getting lost is only one thing to worry about, as many of these paths are on steep inclines, and a single slip could lead to a long, fatal fall. If you venture off of the pathway, it is said that you will never find your way back to it. Due to this strange occurrence, it is said that many baiters are confronted with enemies in the mountains and pushed off of cliffs or merely led away from the road, and they never find their way back to the Rigs, or a teleportation beacon to get home. The pathway leads all throughout the mountains, and as such many things can be found as well. Though, if you do go looking off the path for any other things, you will have the same difficulty returning. There are caves and lakes and myriads of other things hidden in the mountain range, and it is here you may just find relics of the past that you'd never even dreamed of. They say time has no bearing within the mountains. That there are places you may look upon past and future. Though...these of course are not proven as of yet-mere madness from old adventurers.
