Nimir nodded at Aster’s suggestion, glad he had been able to catch most of what the other boy had signed. The important parts at least, though it was tempting to watch his expressions when he got excited instead. He wondering if he would enjoy a job like that, delicate digging or rescue work. At the very least it gave him a direction to explore, which was better than nothing!
He grinned at Aster’s enthusiasm, glad that the idea hadn’t come off as pushy. Though if he had turned down shakes he would have had to rethink his impression of the cute boy. What sort of person didn’t like them? Crazy people, that’s who.
”Great! I think there’s a good shop nearby, within walking distance for sure. Although...I could carry you too?”
He wasn’t sure himself if he was serious about the offer, but he was also in a good mood, and wouldn’t mind showing off a bit if it came down to it. What else was he supposed to do with a boy saying he liked talking to him?

Aster blinked several times at the offer to be carried before he opened his mouth in a silent laugh and shook his head. I'm good. He signed. I'll walk. Thank you for the offer though. He smiled then. So lead the way and I'll follow. I'm looking forward to a good shake. He wanted to make a joke, something about milkshakes bringing all the boys to the yard, but it was a silly and nonsensical thought and he rejected it.
Back to smiling, he was all too willing to follow Nimir. His sister would have liked him, Aster thought. He was cute and sweet, rather polite and maybe even galliant. He would have swept her right off her hooves, at least in theory. As it turned out, Nimir seemed more interested in sweeping Aster up instead. Wel now, wasn't that novel?

Nimir shrugged indifferently, giving Aster a warm smile. He had a momentary thought to ask Aster to carry him, but somehow he didn’t see that ending well, and at the very least he had no judge of his strength. No point in exhausting the poor cutie before they got there.
Looking around the quad for a moment, he tried to figure out the best way to start off, eventually pointing in a direction and starting to walk backwards so that he could see Aster’s hands if he responded. ”C’mon, it should be this way.” Glancing behind him, he made sure that he knew roughly how far it was to the door, and that the path was clear for a moment. He was fairly agile, and his bag only had books and stuff in it, so if he tripped it wouldn’t be too big of a deal.
