████ Harleen Francis Quinzel has lead a life full of ups and downs. Born January 26th into a broken family, to Sharon Quinzel, and Nick Quinzel her Father who would later become a con man. Harley was never adored by her parents or siblings, she was never good enough to reach their expectations. Her father left when the pressures to sustain his family became to much and the life of a con constantly landed him in jail or overdosed. As Harleen entered her years of high school she began hanging around with the wrong crowds. Wanting to experience freedom and falling under the wings of peer-pressure. Harleen became influenced under drugs and alcohol. After getting caught by police for various minor crimes due to a bad seed named Hayley she associated with Harleen complained to her mother about her schools system in order to be placed into a different high school.
Harleen took up gymnastics , her passion and drive had her excelling in no time. With excellent grades and flying through competitions Harleen became a well rounded growing woman. Taking the time to visit her father during visitors hours Harleen tried to pry into his mind for all the distress he caused the family. With questions unanswered the young female applied to her studies and before she applied for colleges she selected a major to aim for. Winning one of the states largest gymnastics meets Harleen was quickly awarded a full scholarship ride to Gotham State University.
With Harleen having a near genius-level of an IQ she presented to her professor Dr. Odin Markus her graduate thesis: “There are only two circumstances under which a person disregards the rules of society. When they commit a crime, or when they’re in love.” In order to prove her thesis she submitted herself and her then boyfriend, Guy Kopski as test subjects for Dr. Markus to observe. The experiment went bad when her significant other, Guy, begged for Harleen to help shoot himself after she led him to believe she murdered their professor.
Harleen later graduated and was immediately placed in the Asylum she pleaded for. Once there she requested to meet the Joker in research for a book she was wanting to write. After a few months of consistent work at exceptional standards Harleen was given access to visit the Joker regularly for interviewing. Introducing herself to the prince of crime the Joker himself pointed out the coincidence of her name resembling that of the harlequin. Upon each visit Harleen felt drawn to the older man as he told tales of his past, his father, the abuse, and all aspects of his life. These visits increased and soon Harleen was smitten for the prince of crime. Playing on her weakness as the Joker escaped from the Asylum he was quickly brought back beaten and bruised from his capture at the hands of Batman. Seeing the man for the first time Harleen became enraged. The birth of Harley. Quinn.
Harleen Quinzel at this point in her life suffered from a psychotic break. Loving her puddin’ to no end the harlequin dealt with every brutal hand that laid upon her. Upon Harley breaking the Joker out of Arkham she in turn had been admitted several times. Harleen had been diagnosed with a Multiple Personality Disorder. Eventually Harley had been released with a clean bill of health. Harley found her way back into the Joker’s life. Not liking to be shined over the Joker violently kept Harley in her place and that was beneath him.
After the Joker attempted to kill Harley, she had joined many different affiliations upon the betrayal of her lover, which happened time and time again. Finding a true friendship in Ivy, the red-headed botanist, thanks to her Harley had acquired metahuman abilities that made her stronger, faster, and immune to toxins and poisons. Being a gymnast had it’s perks of making the harlequin agile, pliable, and strong, but the added affects of Ivy’s plants greatly benefited the female jester. Befriending Ivy, then later Catwoman. Harley finds herself back with the Joker once more. Both women infuriated with the indecisive Jester they break apart their friendship, though this is temporary as Ivy find’s her way back into the harlequin’s life whilst holding a strong passion of hate toward her lover. Harley and Joker reside together in their own hideout to keep cover from the bat but still cause havoc to Gotham’s streets.
████ ABILITIES
██████ ▻ Toxin Immunity: Due to Poison Ivy's injections, To make life easily liveable with Red the scientist experimented on Harley and in the process gave her a great deal of immunities to various poisons and toxins. It should be noted that Harley already had a high tolerance for poisons and toxins do to exposure to the Joker's laughing gas.
██████ ▻ High intelligence:: Trained in the field of psychiatry. She later did her residence at Arkham Asylum and is very cunning in the dimension of street smarts. Talented gymnast: Harley is an Olympic level gymnast having picked up the trade very quickly. Her skills are almost unmatched making her easily able to flip over and dodge opponents.
██████ ▻ Metahuman Agility: Another side effect of Ivy's experimentation. This ties in with her natural agile gymnast's ability.
██████ ▻ Enhanced Strength: Another side effect of Ivy's experimentation. Easily one of the reasons that Harley can take such a physical maiming from the Joker without being complete broken or dead.
██████ ▻ Total disregard for human life: Except for Mistah J and my buddy Ivy, and sometimes children. Well, it just depends if she is with her Puddin', and what his wishes are.
██████ ▻ Pain Tolerance: Harley has a high tolerance for pain both mentally and physically. Even though she if often seen crying at the Joker's harsh remarks and comments towards her she is much stronger than most people who would be placed in her situation.
