But one thing has bugged me...
Recently you guys changed the Announcements to link to direct news topics instead of the general one from before. I was wondering what the reasoning behind this was?
The current new version does not allow for rapid-fire news after a build-up of the queue. IE: One can't open a bunch of different announcement tabs off of a single link without it just all being the same topic now.
In any case, I'd just like to hear what brought about the change. It's understandable if the rapid-clicking is what you wanted to discourage.

Before the announcement update goes live, the sales team is trying to move to a digest format is what we've been experimenting. It's all part of the effort to eventually have no announcement spam on the site.

Would staff be open to hybridizing zOMG stuff into LK? It seems like a good way to both expand the features of LK as well as give people who liked zOMG an updated and secure game to play.

If it makes sense, we can take monsters out of zOMG or any other games to put into Kindred. First we gotta dig up all the original flash files from the ancient archive.

Definitely! The very first Gaia event ever was an extension of a user run event. We owe it to all Gaians for coming up with the idea.

Everything we do moving forward will be HTML5, or in some instances, Unity. As we move forward, everything will have mobile access in mind. Unfortunately Flash is a thing of the past, and we'll either update and replace Gaia's flash features moving forward.

I think what we need is a way for you guys to submit themes and then have the community vote on them and the top voted ones get added to the next weeks themes. That way it's not reliant on staff remembering to put more in. sweatdrop

I think we need a report avatar option for the forums, guilds, and runway. Sometimes when I report sexually explicit avatars to the mods the person with that avatar will change outfits so they get away with it. It's not fair, they broke rules they should be punished accordingly. With a report avatar button the avatar could be screenshotted by Gaia and sent to a report queue then it can be dealt with. Just to back up my claim further I suggest you take a gander at a few of these avatars from the Seven Deadly Sins runway ahem not all of them are bad but there are a few that really push it.

We have about 25 people in Gaia HQ. We're working on having CodeMonkey back in our team, and for now he'll be working with us on contracting basis with Gaia mobile app as priority. Once revenue stabilize, we'll start adding more developers. But as this is our first month back, we've yet to see where we stand as far as revenue versus cost, and the longer term effect of how things will look down the road. We'll be able to make hiring decisions after that. Stay tuned! whee

For the time being I am trying to bring back zOMG as a side focus, but at the same time CP is looking into bringing in some games. Though I'm not sure if we'll have something like a full fledge MMORPG though. We're trying to move fast and an MMO might take too long.

Neither group has launched a product for consumer purchase yet.
According to my research in the nuGen datacenter, there will be a public offering very soon.
The Committee has not made any official statements regarding this yet.

That's unlikely, for many games were written in Flash. Moving forward, games we build will be in HTML5, which should be easier to port onto mobile. If we get to refresh any flash games into HTML5 then that's also a possibility.

Yes I think the queue is pretty long. As to how long I dont' know until the art team gives a solid estimate. I'm sorry for the long wait. It's one of the more terrible and pressing news when I get back...

Has there been any word on a fix to all the runtime errors we're receiving? We're getting them every time we lose a battle, and it's only been happening since either the sycamorte seed update or the update to how kindred load into the game.

Since you plan on looking into Zomg! is there any chance that you could look into bringing Summer Springs back? It was a Facebook game made by Gaia Interactive, maybe you could convert it into a Gaia Online game? Anyway I miss it a lot and would like to see it come back if possible.

Summer Springs was a licensed game that we worked with a Korean studio to released, and I don't think we have access to it anymore. However CP is actively finding other games. Hope we'll have some more good news to share with you all in the near future!
